The first gift of the Second Style Island Group Giveaway is out now! I know it’s a bit early, but we are too excited to wait! Below is a picture of the outfit you can get for free simply for being a group member!!

Ashoka Eales of Phoenix Rising released this gorgeous outfit in these special colors just for our group members! All you have to do is; join the Second Style Island Group, tp over to the Second Style Headquarters with your tag on and click the gift box. That’s it! Each item will be out until midnight of the next day when a different designer will add their gift! For how many days? I can’t say for sure but at least for the next 15 days!!

While you are picking up your gifts, make sure to hit the designers subscriber so you can stay on top of their news too!!

March 15, 2010 is the kickoff date for our Second Style Island Group Gift Giveaway!! All you have to do to get some very cool gifts is join the Second Style Island group in-world, wear your tag and tp to Second Style Island and buy the gift for 0L! Each day there will be a different designer setting out a gift for a 24 hour period which will give you plenty of time to tp in and grab it!

Watch this space for more details but..I will tell you that the first three days of designers setting out their gifts are: Phoenix Rising, Tiny Bird and Callie Cline!

Starting March 15, Second Style Island will have a daily gift giveaway for group members! Several of the island vendors are participating to give a gift to all the members of the Second Style Island group. It’s going to be super simple, all you have to do is join the group in world (search Second Style Island), tp to the island daily while wearing your tag and pick up your gift! Each item will be out for 24 hours and each day it will be from a different store!

How awesome and easy is that?!

How long will it last? It depends on how many designers sign up to give a gift..so far it seems we have over 12 stores signed up and more joining daily!! Which stores? You won’ t know until the day before the gift is given..you will have to come right here to see what the blog says! Yah for surprises!!

I’m so tired of what, for many of us, has been a harsh, cold winter.  When I googled ‘Seasonal Affective Disorder’ today, I could only stare blankly at my screen as I read through lists of symptoms– each one mirroring my current state of mind more than the last.

Thankfully, I won’t need to seek light therapy or start a regimen of antidepressant medication to ease my ailments because despite the current forecast, our in-world designers continue to keep their virtual shelves stocked with fresh treats to remind us of warmer and sunnier weather ahead.  Whether your relief is coming with the change of seasons or an airplane trip to a warmer setting (I sure can’t wait for mine!), these seaside inspired looks should offer you at least a brief reprise from what, for many of us, is a very chilly reality right now.  Enjoy!

You know, I bet you missed this release from fri.day!  And, because I care about your fashion necessities, I’m going to mention them again.  I coupled the cardigan with a blouse from Indrya Originals and tied my hair back in yet, another, TRUTH style.   The jeans are so well made, and, finally, a pair that actually fits all the way up the rear end!

The shirt from +blacklisted+ is quite fitting!  LOL  The RELOADED boots from [*RG*] were the inspiration behind this look and nothing shows them off better than a teeny tiny skirt from *UB*!  It’s worth a mention that *UB* has been releasing new cuteness every week and this includes skins as well (which will be shown in a future post…go ahead, sit at the edge of your seat!)  Of course, my accessories include the bracelet/nail combo from [MANDALA]TAKARA (my goal is to own every piece of yum in that store.)  Also, shown here, are the defiant, NO ROUND earrings from [glow] studio .   Big earrings are in…wear them loud and wear them proud! It is time for something…adorable!

 I’ve been working on getting our cozy home completed, but wanted to take a moment and show off a cute little outfit I wore for three days straight.  It’s quite the record for me and, yes, a fashion faux pas in itself.  But, let’s ignore that for now.  My favorite impression of this outfit is how delicate the fabrics “feel.”  The skirt from MNK*Shop literally gives you the sense of bounce with each step.  Not only is the blouse combination from *MIU* soft and springy, it also adds a romantic touch to the ensemble.   Accessorized with over-sized beads from (Milk Motion), a belt from Maitreya , and, of course, my beloved ring from P.C., the look is truly…cute! I know, it really is difficult to narrow it down to just one for me.  However, this week, it has been a relapse in shoe obsessions.  Maitreya Gold.  *sighs*

I can’t get enough. I plurked about it, whined to all my friends about it, went to the store a billion times (plus one,) and finally, finally got this pair. As soon as I slipped them on, I flung my ass on the gorgeous blue leather chaise from Diesel Works (available in an array of colors,) puffed my ciggy from Hermony, and *click* *click* *clicked* through poses!  ME + SHOES = HAPPY   For those of you who don’t know, let me just mention, these are the easiest shoes I’ve ever had the pleasure of matching skin to.  They come with presets to some of the most famous skin lines!  SERIOUSLY!  Read the rest of this entry »
