Friday, December 28th, 2007Have you heard of Decoy by Annette Voight? I think it might be the best kept clothing secret in Second Life, and that’s good for fashion insiders, but Annette is such a fabulous talent, she deserves a wider audience for her designs. Like Kat Palmer, Decoy was featured in a recent Second Style [...]
Immortelle for classic style
Friday, December 28th, 2007Have you made any New Year’s Resolutions yet? Mine is to clear my post queue from this year, no matter what! So you’re going to see a flurry of new posts from me over the next day or two as I try to get everything into calendar year 2007.
I want to kick things off [...]
Holiday Stress
Friday, December 21st, 2007Running around to get the last gifts, groceries, oh and a new table cloth…. some more decorations for the tree, making the house all comfy and welcoming, spending hours in the kitchen doing preparations for elaborate dishes… holiday stress.
Thank goodness I won’t have to worry what to wear during SL Xmas parties, or maybe I do, [...]
Kurotsubaki?? Kurotsubaki!!!!
Sunday, November 18th, 2007I am a bad freebie hunter. Sue me. I went to visit the new Fashion Victim head quarters because of the lovely goodies scattered around.. and instead I got lagged up and almost decided to leave again when… I discovered Kurotsubaki. I have no clue whatsoever what that means other than CUTE CLOTHES!
Plaid is one of [...]
I’m Cold… Or, The Pleasure Of Shopping For Sweaters
Thursday, November 8th, 2007I am not the most diligent blogger lately, RL being quite demanding ans such, but I do still shop, and find a lot of things I like. Today is one of these day’s I cannot seem to get warm. Turned the heater way on and soaked in a hot bath for what seems to have been [...]
Cavalli for Hennes & Mauritz… Did He Shop in SL First?
Saturday, October 27th, 2007November 8th will be another great day in the Swedish multinational clothing retailer Hennes & Mauritz. Following designers such as Karl Lagerfeld and Victor & Rolf, now Roberto Cavalli is about to launch a special designer collection for this company. On a newsfeed earlier today I read that during a launch party in Rome, Sharon Stone [...]
Hubby’s Boutique
Friday, October 5th, 2007Here’s another “new-to-me” designer brand - “Hubby’s Boutique” which is run by the duo of JH and Jessie Gervasi. I can only guess that they’re married in RL, but they are definitely partnered in Second Life. JH designs the clothing and Jessie serves as his muse, model and marketing director. So first [...]
Factory Girl
Friday, October 5th, 2007A few weeks ago I saw the Edie Sedgwick film biopic Factory Girl, which starred Sienna Miller (who knew she could act?!) as the eponymous protagonist of the film. Ms. Sedgwick was well before my time, but the whole late 60s Andy Warhol art scene has always held a certain fascination and certainly was [...]
Your patience will be rewarded
Thursday, October 4th, 2007No one is probably more excited to see the Armidi sim finally open than developer trio Liam Oliver, Nicole David, and Lola Marquez. After a tantalizing tease of things to come at Hair Fair 2007 with the beautifully executed Bombshell hairstyle, most of the grid’s fashion watchers were left with a desire for much [...]
Sexy in Pink
Wednesday, October 3rd, 2007This outfit has brought me several compliments over the past couple days and I am happy to tell you that not only does it look perfect for the earthy autumn color palette, but it’s also extremely affordable. The name of it is “Autumn Girl” by Sexy in Pink designer Kirsten Corleone. Kirsten has [...]
Sugarcube? Sweet!!!!
Saturday, September 29th, 2007After seeing the cute coffeetable on SL fashion notices, and the dito hair on Savoir Hair, I really needed to check out Sugarcube for myself, and guess what? Cute clothes too!! The shop is run by two Japanese sisters, Sayuri makes the clothes and Yuuki does a lovely job with the hair. This is about [...]
Race Queen by Drawmachine
Monday, September 24th, 2007I’d never even heard of Drawmachine until 3 weeks ago, although creator Armin Wiefel has been active in Second Life for a while. Armin is a RL 3D graphic artist and his expertise definitely shows in his designs — especially the prim work. On the left is the eponymous Race Queen set complete with [...]
