Right after coming out with Eams Modern Home, NOTsoBAD, released a new skybox. The Bow Apartment Skybox is nothing short of amazing. The shadows, the build, the texture work…love. Actually, let me just be quiet and show you some pictures…

I used a lot of the NSB furniture, which I also am a big fan of..but stuck a couple of pieces in there from other very talented creators in Second Life.

The skybox is just gorgeous, I admit to having a short attention span when it comes to homes in SL but this one…this one is the one.

I have officially put my feet up and am calling it home. For a good long time…or until NSB releases their next awesome build.

Taking more than her share

I am not normally the kind of girl you can put in a box but since this is SL….

Sway Dench from Sway’s Design was sweet enough to send over one of her latest releases, swAyNimation – Art’Box and I love it. You have 10 choices of colors for inside the box, but I picked white for all three of my pics. You don’t have to be as boring as I am though! Go crazy with it..pick a pink, blue, purple, yellow, etc color! Also 6 different poses, not just the three I am showing.

Oh, let me tell you about my shorts. Kyoot has very cool micro pants with wide belts in different colors. You need these. So sexy. Speaking of sexy…someone please tell me why I have not been to DE in ages? What was I thinking? A few years ago, I used to go there pretty regularly and looking back…many of those things hold up in regards to how well made they are. The top I am wearing is the DE Roxy Leather Shirt and it screamed … YOU NEED ME…when I walked by it..so who am I to resist? I’m not.

Boots…Stellar makes very very cute winter boots. Did you think Lexi Morgan was all about the short skirts and hot ass outfits? WRONG. She makes boots, hair, jewelry, eyes, skins, shoes and makeup tattoo layers. Have you been to her newly remodeled sim? It is made to look like NYC and they did a….stellar job. Shush, don’t judge me.

We did it…we survived the week. I have to be honest and say that there were moments I wasn’t sure if Friday was ever going to come. I owe my survival of this week to cold meds and Lifetime channel. Okay and ice cream.

See my lovely red shoes? I adore them, they are pure red heavenly happiness. They are also Kookie’s latest release and the best part? You can pick up a multi colored pair for 50L for 50L Friday. Seriously, you need these.

This is an exact replica of outfits that I wear in real life during this time of year, when it is starting to get a bit chilly but not too horribly bad. My outfit is a combination of some of my favorite things.

The jacket and deep jeweled sweater are from Naive and they came together along with a pair of jeans that I am not wearing but more on that in a minute. The outfit is named Faith and I loveee that the designer, Leah McCullough, has a wall with ready made outfits all ready for you. I am going to be honest and say that I keep away from most SL jackets because I hate fussing with making things fit. This one? SOO easy. Love it. Oh, and the cami you see peeking out? That is the basic cami from Fri.Day, and another staple in my wardrobe. The jeans are from Nyte N’Day and if it wasn’t for Felicity constantly carrying on and on about how they are her favorite jeans, I would have never thought to try them and well that would have been sad because they are really as great as she said.

Oh and my belt…swoon. It is Mandala and I am going to save you some time…fatpack. I went and tried to kid myself by only buying one and it would have been so much easier to just fatpack from the start.

One last thing…my hair. New Truth. Love. Need I say more?

I am going to cheat today with my blog picture…and you can see why, right?

In the middle of putting an outfit together to blog, my lovely friend Leah McCullough of Naive and of Leah McCullough Photography decided to cheer me up after a pretty blah day and take a picture of us together. Um…YES. I have to say that she was very patient with me while I made dinner (ordered pizza) and sat down for a lovely meal (in front of the tv) and cleaned up (threw away the paper plates and gave crusts to the pugs). I adore the picture, it came out awesome and literally once I got my act together..it took her like 15 minutes tops to take it.

Leah is a vision of beauty…as always and I have her style credits listed down there. If you are wanting a portrait taken, do not be shy..simply IM her and she will get you all set up!

Now, on to the skin I cannot seem to take off. For the last few weeks I have been so obsessed with Laq skins! Like most of you lovely ladies on the grid, I own just about every skin out there..but my go to skins have been LeLutka, Tuli and Dutch Touch for most of the past year or so. Before that it was, well always LeLutka and Bebae (TORIE WHERE ARE YOUUUU?) We will not discuss the dark first year of my SL when I wore only one skin. *Shudder* The skin I am wearing is the latest, Isabel and it is simply lovely. The lips alone make it drool worthy. Lips..always my big thing. A skin can have the most gorgeous features but if the lips are not perfect…not happening. If you are like me and not always a huge Laq fan…try her last few and don’t be surprised if you go home with a few of her VERY reasonably prices fatpacks.

Let’s talk about some of the rest of what I am wearing….the shirt is from W&B and it is really cute with the jeans I am wearing from Lelutka. I kept the clothes simple because the Yoke Tank is beaded and lovely enough that it needs nothing else. The belt is another current obsession, the [MANDALA]Mikoto Belt. I bought one…loved it and went back to fatpack and made sure to tell my friends to go buy them. They sell the same belt for men too, so make sure to check it out for you and your guy.

That is it for me…I wore myself out by talking so much in this blog. A huge thank you to Leah for taking such an awesome picture!

Alysha Rennahan is approaching her fourth rez day in SL and I can’t believe she is that old.

After working in a club as a host and then a manager, I finally started a blog after a late night makeover. And I haven’t looked back. I love SL for its endless creativity in all things – mainly fashion. I love SL for allowing me the ability to meet and connect with so many different people that I would never have otherwise in any other way.

And I love SL for bringing me the love of my life, both SL and RL. If not for SL, I would not be with the man I love with all my heart and soul.

Thank you all of SL – from Linden to resident – for being so amazing in creating the environment I have loved for four years and counting…

So here I am. And if you know me or know my blog, you are probably expecting purpleness. Who am I to disappoint?

I’ve had a few people ask why I am a purple fanatic. Hard to explain. Maybe it can be found in some of things purple represents, courtesy of About.com:

Purple is royalty. A mysterious color, purple is associated with both nobility and spirituality. The opposites of hot red and cool blue combine to make this intriguing color.

So how do I interpret this? I am very much a “middle” person. I prefer to hear both sides of the story and draw my own conclusions from that. The “middle” of the hot red angry person and the cool blue, not taking anything serious person. I don’t consider myself snobby and above others (the royalty and nobility thing), but I like to consider myself rather deep and thoughtful, wanting to help other fulfill their needs.

I dunno. Am I rambling at this point? What does this have to do with fashion? And SL?

Simple.

SL fashion has unbelievable depth and possibilities, restricted only by the extents of people’s imaginations and skills.

It is forever changing. It is forever youthful. It is forever energetic.

I can be hot and sultry one day and relaxed and comfy the next, without having to do a pile of laundry in between.

Deep in thought now? Good. I’ve accomplished my goal. Think on that!

I love bright colors…the brighter, the bolder- the better. Plum is one of my faves, especially in lingerie. Now, let me just say that I rarely wear lingerie in SL because…well, there is no one to see me in it. Don’t feel sorry for me, I do have a lingerie audience in that other life I lead.

This lovely set is from Phoenix Rising and it is so lush and rich looking. Ashoka really does an awesome job with lingerie…when she dropped it on me she mentioned that since this is SL, I can wear it anywhere. So true. Now if I only I had the nerve to do so. <3 I am being a bit of a tease though, because it is not available quite yet..but be patient..it will be worth it.

The gorgeous skin I am wearing is the Gina 02 skin from Tuli that is a Dressing Room exclusive! Last time it was Gina01, which was in for two weeks. I think this one is up now…go take a look and pick up the newness.

Jewelry? Well…Zaara of course. Did you take advantage of her 50% of sale? I hope so…I know I did.
