First off, I’d like to thank Iris for the great job she has been doing as Editor for Second Style. Without her amazing amount of help, great suggestions, being a brainstorm buddy, etc, I would have never been able to get Second Style up to full speed again. THANK YOU!! Unfortunately, Iris is no longer able to commit to her position at Second Style because her new RL job is going so great. I’m very happy for her and wish her the best.

Upon agreeing to the above special rates, you enter a 1 year contract with Second Style.  Second Style reserves the right to review your account every 6 months, to determine your discount level, and any fees that may be assessed for not maintaining your minimum sales/ads.

All PR companies are responsible for their own pricing, and Second Style will not be held accountable for any fees that are charged by these companies for their services.  We do expect that no clients will be charged anything above our standard ad rates, and anyone “overcharging”  will have their contracts immediately canceled.

One of my 2009 resolution is to blog more regularly. With a new baby and a lot of RL job responsibility, I know that blogging daily really isn’t in the cards for me. That’s why I’ve enlisted four other fabulous fashionistas to help me kick off this new project called 30 Days.

The 30 days project is about featuring one fashion category, one content creator (or team) in one post, every day for the next 30 weekdays (we’re taking weekends off.) Behind the scenes we’re coordinating our posts so that we won’t repeat or feature the same designers that we’ve already covered in a previous post. Our first feature will be on 30 Days of Skins. For the next 30 (week)days, we will have a fresh new post featuring skins from all over the grid. The first post in the series will be on Monday, January 5th.

Each weekday has a specific blogger assigned to it:

• Tuesday: Graciana McMillan
• Wednesday: Honey Bender
• Thursdays: Ryker Beck

Second Style Media is pleased to announce that it has acquired all assets of SexySecond, including the magazine and website to add to its current roster of Second Life focused fashion media outlets. “Adding SexySecond will let us focus on a totally separate and different readership than Second Style. We are very excited to bring this new media property on board our operations.”

Joining SexySecond as the new managing editor of the magazine is well known graphic designer and photographer Elease Graves. All current advertising arrangements in effect at the time of the purchase will continue to be honored as the magazine expects to move into a monthly production schedule slated to start in September.

Second Life photographers and writers who are interested in freelance contributions to the publication should contact Celebrity Trollop or Elease Graves for more information.

Advertisers interested in reaching a growing Second Life readership are also invited to contact Celebrity or Elease. The ad deadline for our re-vamped, relaunched magazine is August 25th.

I’m proud to welcome the brand new, but wonderful On Your Toes prim shoe blog to the Second Style Fashion Network. Like the other members of the Fashion Network, blog founder Graciana McMillan will be highlighting some of the week’s best content from On Your Toes here.

Shoe designers, if you have new releases to promote/review, this is your outlet. Co-written with Anessa Stine and Joel Eilde (for that ever elusive male shoe perspective), I’m sure you will enjoy reading this new blog as much as I do.

The old v4.2 Second Style vendor kiosks will become inactive as of 1/1/08. You can tell if you have a v4.2 vendor by right clicking the kiosk and looking at the name of the object. If it’s a v4.2 vendor (or earlier), the version string will be listed in there.

You can obtain a replacement quickly and at no-cost by visiting my OnRez storefront. There are currently two v5.0 vendor styles to choose from, so feel free to get one or the other, or both.

Daphne Abernathy and Tamara Kirshner are planning on presenting their favorite formals on the December 12 episode (show #11) of Second Style Stylecast! If you would like to submit your designs for their consideration, please send each of them a review copy along with a full permissions picture of the gown(s) by December 7. Daphne and Tamara will each choose their three favorite formals and present them on Second Style Stylecast.

Fabulously Free — written by Cherlindrea Lamont — a blog focused on spotlighting high quality free or dollarbie items is now a member of the Second Style Fashion Network.

Like the other network blog authors, Cherlindrea will be posting a weekly round up of her favorite content here on Fashionista. I hope you’ll keep a close watch on FabFree too — who doesn’t like to save money? Cherlindrea’s made it into almost a competitive sport – who can look the best for under L$10! That’s a tough challenge and she does it day after day.
