Second Style Magazine

Phew, what an exciting time it has been Fabulously Free in SL officially opened up in world and my Rez Day came right after where I gave out a skin to the FabFree SL group to celebrate. Located at the FabFree HQ are freebies from several designers including Jem and the Holograms & Misfits skins that I did up.

On the 13th, we did some exploring of Japanese sims can came up with Shop RAN had a belted Peggy Bundy outfit that went great with the Hair Up Free from Mayamaya and the nail freebie from Candy Nails. Then we took a run over the Curious Kitties for a slew of free clothes and shoes with a Lollie flare. Hazel showed us Bis-Daisy Casual Wear’s cute sweaters and chiffon skirt set in rose.

The next day we took a stop at Luxary by Vindaloo to grab several gowns for women and a diamond tuxedo for men. Hazel took advantage of the many freebie options at Vanilla Designs that included clothing, skins, and shoes. Lucky for the Calla update group members because we received a full color pack of Petunia hair which we wore with the heartbeat freebie outfti from InStyle, pixie blush skin from Fancy Fairy, and a bangle & sweater wrap from Orchid Dreams.

Style Your Destiny released 3 new shapes and a pink hart skin for Valentine’s day. Identity Outfitters showed us the clothes of the future at the RPM Car Dealership of the Future that needed the final touch of metallic tights from G.L.A.M. Hazel showed us some cute tops and a Sunday dress from new-find Fluky.

After several tips I had to head over to Cartunno Clothing for their star qipao dress that we paired with Oh My Lye hair from Adimu. A great new store opened called Free Speerit opened and gave their update group a beautifully textures Sandra outfit. Fancy Fairy gave their update group another free skin with a yellow hue. Sidonie showed up great casual wear and glasses from Star Hitter’s that she paired with shoes and a cami from First Egg. Hazel jumped over to Ingenue for the fantastic new lingerie sets.

Everything but the kitchen sink was free at Nylon Outfitters that included skins, accessories, clothes, jewelry and more. Earth and Sky has an unisex down jacket that I wore with the new boots over at YeeVee Designs. Hazel showed up some items from Babydoll Wishes which caters to child avatars. I started my quest to try and sort my inventory coming across hair, hair ribbons and even a ginger cat from Virtual Creations which I wore with the leather jacket I came across from The Boddysock Shoppe. Another inventory clean up outfit was new free hair at Lycee Feelings Shop that I wore with a button up shirt from Ash Style and gloves & boots from Ac Boutique. Hazel got to show off the cute new $1L hair from Truth called Berri.

Style Your Destiny gave their update group a basic male skin for all those guys itching for some freebie love. Free Speerit kept their new fantastic love with a dress outfit that allows you to be creative and style it yourself. Rave Nation put out some Valentine’s makeups that Hazel showed off and then she headed over to both Liquid Velvet Studios and Sy Designs for some cute clothing options. I had the pleasure of meeting Cat Magellan who set up The Pink House for everyone to unpack boxes and dress.

The day before the headquarters opened we had a busy, busy day. Hazel showed of a rose velvet outfit from KK Fine Quality. On a tip I was over at The Super Real Body for hair and eyes which lead me to stumbled upon ELFA Shop for several free pairs of shorts. The shorts reminded me that I have been saving cute tees from Pushbutton Industries and a bracelet from Argyle that are at the Le Zoo Gift Shop. Another tip brought me over to Elise’s for a green lace dress. The last hotline tip of the day brought me to Izumiya for pants, shirts, boots, dresses, jewelry, hair, hats, and more.

FH Skins opened and is giving out a free blue fairy skin. Vintage Clothing Reproductionshas a fantastic flapper dress with several options for the skirt. I just had to use one of my new poses from Long Awkward Pose’s return to Second Life. Most of the day was spent with my excitement over the opening of the Fabulously Free in SL Headquarters where you can see pictures and details on the blog.

This week we added a European flare to the blog with the addition of Hazel Homewood. One of the most important things we talked about this week was remembering your Freebie Etiquette in regards to your free items.

Second Style has a fantastic collection of free items at their base of operations. There are free items from many designers all in 1 special pack: Body Politik, Calla, DeFleur, GuRL 6, I <3 Juicy, Oh! What a Neat…Boutique, T.a.r.t, Tres Blah, and ZHAO Shoes. There is even more. If you get this month’s issue of Second Style Magazine(#15) you will get a treat of free skins from CHAI Skins by LF.

On the 6th we took at look at the Clash skin I gave the Fabulously Free in SL group as a preview of the Jem & the Hologram skin collection that will be at the headquarters opening soon. The skin went great with the galaxy dress(shown) over at Tea Monster. Milady’s Fancy included a business casual dress called Rivel which we pair with the Natumi hair from Tukinowaguma and jewelry from KMYY. The next day we looked at the undead skin from Alexitmia Tattoo Shop which we wore with the chained reactions heels at Demonic Goddess Designs and the black haver t-shirt over at Savvy.

On Tuesday, Crimson + Clover gave their update group a grape skin which went great with the unisex Chinese dress from Yohiko’s Collection. Body Politik’s freebies this week was a mint fairy tale gown that work wonderfully with the spiral earrings from Schadenfreude. Over at Yurakucho there is a beautifully textured shirt that we wore with the Literature jewelry set from Bebe’s, dread hair from Ever Green, and shoes from Basevi Moda. Last stop of the day was a trip over toe Bryce Designs for his kits for men and women that includes clothing and accessories. Be sure to grab the Mouth hairstyle while you are there.

We looked at a new designer for men called Tyranny on Wednesday which has shapes and jewelry for the guys. Punky by Proxy has 3 collections of retired items in their store sorted by theme which includes clothing, hair, and accessories. The outfits we threw together from these collections looked great with the funky skins from Rave Nation and the group gift shoes from Aphrodite Creations. Sidonie was over at the Asian Tailor where she grab the Tokkahin outfits(shown) which worked really well with the color changing flats from Orchid Dreams.

Thursday was a busy day for us with 2 skins, one a Moulin Rouge skin as a group gift for Spirit and the other a fairy skin at Style Your Destiny. Ashia Designs gave the FabFree update group a skin gift which we wore with new $1L items including a soft pink dress from Sy Designs. Sidonie showed off long boots from FKDesigns that she wore with a hot pink mini skirt from Max’s Shop and fur earrings from Black Agena. This was Hazel’s first day and she showed us bambi stockings from Yum Yum, a knit hat from Uma Usagi, and the punk chick outfit with color changing shoes over at Star Child Home.

I was feeling a bit gothy on Friday so I put together an outfit from the goth skin at Style Your Destiny, face plaster and men’s black jacker from INTime, scifi pink eyes from Nora BodySkins, and the goth hair from TekuTeku. Hazel showed us that the weekly gifts at K & K Fine Quality are worth the trip over there with their martini dress and shoe(freebie has changed since). While the next day saw us looking at 2 more skins, this time one was an anime skin from BF Shop and the group gift peachy valentine skin from Nora BodySkins. Truth sent out free hair samples for both men and women to the subscribe-o-matic group that I wore with the cute kame outfit(shown) from Snack Kame.

So I totally had a brain fart with getting ready for the headquarters opening and thought I published this already. Instead I found my notecard ready to go sitting on my desktop. *smack hand* Bad me! To make up for it, I am extending the days covered to catch up. During this period we gained a new writer to our blog, Sophie Fussbudget, who has been behind the scenes since week one.

On the 27th we took a jump over to the L Word Orientation sim to see the fantastic starter avatars they have complete with designer clothes and skins. We then took a stop over at EC&M for the mother/daughter Amethyst gowns which lead us with the dilemma of building a child avatar. For this we went with the little angel shape from Something JD and the simplest makeup in Another Shop’s E series. Our last stop for the day was over to Liberte for the Sintia dress set.

The next day we headed over the Opium Everyday for a peek at the clothes still under the Christmas tree and found a skin from Skin 2.0 as well. Then we went on to Trixie’s Treasures whcih looking fun with the freebie outfit from AmyEmily Apparel and the group gift of free wings from Fancy Fairy. We finished off the day just for the guys with a stop over at AB Apparel for t-shirt and jeans.

Saturday saw us at Blooberry where we found a cute purple haze dress and won matching hair in the Lucky Chair. Samara Studios put out a nice casual outfit in autumn leaves colors. There was a beautiful New Year’s Eve gown out at Sy Designs to ring in the new year.

Sidonie headed over the Mortisha Designs on Sunday where she found 15 different items marked down to $1L. Crap had out a limited time offer on an orange crop coat. Evil Neko gave out New Year’s silks to their update group. A stop over to one of the Japanese sims found Love Aya has out over 23 free outfits. Love, Love, Love has a box filled with goodies over that Mischief Cove.

New Year’s Eve brought one of my favorite new freebies, black & white skins from La Sylphide. We were treated to a box of clothing goodies from Xtravert Fashions which went great with the X’mas hair at Candy House and wrist goms at Arai. We found a funky, metallic female skin over at Rainbow Rising. Style Your Destiny gave their group New Year’s pajamas that worked well with the 2008 headband from Rose Petal Creations and tattoos from Simply Shauna Designs. The last stop for the year was to Relika for a bikini and shirt collection.

The first day of the new year kicked off who a cute black dress from Cover Girl. Another Shop released the first of the F series skin. We then headed back to Libertine for the chocolaty brown dress that we wore with Holly the Elf shape from The Real Goddess and the Forget-Me-Not jewelry from Hellcat Designs. Sidonie headed to DEKA Fashion for red top and then on over toe Robin Wood’s AV Shop for a winter weather clothing set. While we were on tops, I headed over to Miss Yoko for her French freebie top.

January 2nd was a big day for us, we reached 200,000 readers and had our heaviest traffic day to date. It began with a new freebie Unseelie skin over at Fae for Free and then more skins as a previews over at Digital Dragon Designs. DeFleur Fashions had out 3 Christmas dresses that went great with the free heels from Aphrodite Creations’s update group. Our last stop of the day was to Fashion Fruit for a powder blue gown and a pair of wedge heels.

Thursday was the day of the dresses with the Nona dress over at In Style and cute dresses over at Fireflies Boutique. La Comatesse has a beautiful black dress and manicure set that goes smashingly with the winter jewelry set from Stargazer Designs. There is a cute heart dress at Lycee Feelings Shop that worked well with the heels over at SKG Shoes, lip piercing from Synthetic Memory, and a beautiful jewelry set from Vintage by Random Calliope. Finally, La Fleur was not done with us and marked their entire inventory free.

This week saw big news in freebie fashion when Another Shop released all of her E series skins full perm. The skins come in 4 skin tones, freckled and unfreckled, 7 different makeups, and two eye brow options. Also included in these sets were custom shapes, eyebrows, and the .tga files for the skins.

Last Thursday we looked at a cute holiday dress from Rose Petal Creations which went great the the candy cane textured hair at Wilted Rose. While at Wilted Rose we picked up some other great holiday outfits including one for men. The other items we look at this day were the newbie male skins for under 30 days at Tete a Pied, Christmas dress set given to VK Designs by Victoria’s update group, a morning star dress at Matahari Style, 7 free outfits from LeeZu, starry flower gown from Vintage Clothing Reproductions and Christmas Angel hair and wings were given to the Pixel
Dust update group.

We began Friday with a treasure hunt from Ravenwear with skins, hair, and clothes as part of the prizes to find. Cherry Tokyo’s Kimonos, Bryce Designs, and Amaretto has their own hunt today with free hair, kimonos and more. Then we ran over to Spirit for a Christrmas gifts that included a skin, dance items, and even goodies for men. The other great items of the day were a kimono from Mare which went great with the fan from Orchid Dreams, Cassini Creations sent their group a scripted silk set, and a cute dress collection was given out to the update group for Persona.

I made a request of everyone on Saturday to please go and vote on MISC-208 so that we can have more than 25 update groups in Second Life. Kyoot Army gave their group a great scarf and leggings which went great with the free silver top from Immortelle. The other great items today included PanJen’s update got a cute holiday lingerie set, A Piece of Candy has 2 cute outfits for $1L until Jan 1, and Style Your Destiny gave out a cute poinsettia dress to their update group. The best fun to be had was roaming around Calla looking for the gift boxes that had all this free hair.

Sunday showed us another hunt but this time we had to catch our gift. A disappearing gift hunt was underway at Skin Within to get free skins and more. Other items we looked at today was an ice queen gown from Sy Designs, freebies at the Shine Auction from Accessories by Eolande & Bossa Nova, Tuli gave her group a holiday skin collection, Minnu Model Skins gave their group male & female skins plus more, and Analise gave her update group color changing silks.

Monday was a very busy day that began with a hunt for white ornaments at Bossa Nova. The ornaments are scattered about the area and have hair and clothes that go great with the shoes hidden all over She’s so Unusual. The other goods we looked at today were the dongipani shorts from YeeVoo Designs, a cute holiday necklace from ShenS Boutique, a cute sweater set & kitty purses for Honey Kitty’s update group, a pink dress at Diversity, a cute casual outfit from Unique Needs, holiday hair from ESAB, bikinis from T.a.r.t. and manicures from Orchid Dreams.

We began Christmas day with a bang by looking at the holiday group freebies from Muism which includes an suit for men. The outfit went great with the holiday boots from TEsla and the top hat from Second Thoughts. Evie’s Closet gave her update group the most amazing gown that went great with the new Alyssa hair from Hair Solutions. Mirada made freebie and hair history by giving out 1 free color pack for every style in the entire store. The other Christmas day freebies were: GuRL 6’s update group was treated to free holiday pajamas, House of Zen gave male and female snowman kimonos, several pairs of holiday pajamas were out at Parallax View, free hair from Ingenue and free hair for men and women at Calico Creations.

On Wednesday we headed back to House of Zen to check out their new freebie area that had a nice collection of full perm eyes and red & black kimono sets for men and women. DEKA Fashions has a free shirt for their update group and if you join you will also be given a cute outfit. For the first day of Kwanzaa, Style Your Destiny gave out male and female items to their update group.

Another busy week in the land of freebies so thank goodness Sidonie has been on hand to half take some of the pressure off me.

We kicked off the week look at the lovely goodies that Sinsation has to offer both in their store and to their update group and the traveled all around LaPointe Designs for a cute tartan dress. Sidonie and I both ran into each other at Nuclear Boutique which has a new weekly freebie gown and many freebies for Christmas. Sidonie’s main shape is a reduced $1L shape from Kallista Kreations which she wore to show off the lovely pink dress/gown from Boutique Lovely. Heart Cupcakes is having a sidewalk sale and there are 3 free dresses to be had.

This week there are free items every day from AvaStar Reader’s Group, Angels, Digital Dragon Designs, Ivalde(Ivalde group tag needed), Mondria Fashion, Reaction, Second Mirage, and Wrong.

Group gifts this week included: a twilight gown that is not to be missed from Icing, a “tacky” Christmas sweater from Artilleri, martian green pajamas set from Style Your Destiny, a female skin, tank to[, & jeans from Dutch Touch, a Christmas dress set from Encore, two different skin sets from Blowpop, a dark green Greyceful dress from Aphrodite Creations, more amazing hair from Bewitched, two lovely skin sets from Ashia Designs, a large hair collection from Philotic Enegry listed as demo on a notecard,

LaynieWear has a more casual approach to the holidays with some great $1L items at Freebie Jeebies. Flaming Raven Designs has a red cocktail dress for the holidays that goes great with the snowflake earrings from Schadenfreude. Gracie’s also has a red dress, this time a gown under her Christmas tree. Ingenue’s new holidays dress is red with a vintage flare. Vette’s Boutique has a bustier/pants set that is a nice change from the holiday colors.

Looking to track down items, you can go on a candy cane hunt at Ohana Isle with free gifts from shops like Grid Life, Tea Monster, and Halloween 365. Samsara Studios celebreated 1 year with a gift gathering promotion to make a full outfit. I hope you didn’t miss out the fun at Tete-a-Pied hunting down the train tickets to receive free skins.

One of the skins this week was the CHF’s Sweet Freebie skin found at The Free Dove. L’Oreal released 2 new skins for their free skins line that you can pick up at Calla. Ami Style has a skin and shape collection for free.

New finds included a newbie hair voucher from Groovygirl Designs and Alchemy’s freebie gowns.

Another busy, busy week for the world of free and $1L fashion. First, let me once again welcome my new author, Sidonie Benoir, to FabFree SL. She will be helping me keep up with the holiday whirlwind.

I tried to balance out all the Holiday goodness with more traditional items as well. We started the week at the cuteness of Free for Fae with over 45 free fairy related items. If you are a house fairy then you need to head to Royal Blue to get the cute Dream House Hat. Shown with the hat was free hair given as a group gift from Inspired, smoking holiday boots from Adimu, a holiday shape from Candy Kiss, and Hanukkah items from Style Your Destiny.

Also during the week, Style Your Destiny had a new snowflake themed dress, a group gift of shirts, and was part of a gift hunt on the Pamran sim which is still going on with another dress and Jasper eyes. Also on this hunt we looked a delicious sweaters from LaynieWear and a dress from Lillee Designs. If you need animations to finished off everything go and grab all the free ones at AnimaH

There are free items every day from Angels, Ivalde(Ivalde group tag needed), Mondria Fashion, Reaction, Second Mirage, and Wrong. Group gifts this week were very generous with cute bunny slippers from She’s So Unusual, an Earth suit from Aphrodie Creations, sunglasses from Doll House Dreams, shoes from Maitreya, tops fro AnnaH Couture, hair from Bewitched Hair, and the cream of the crop was a skin from Minnu Model Skins. Speaking of groups, if you join the AvaStar Reader’s update group you get an announcement of a new item every day like a skin/shape set from SkinWithin and hair from GuRL 6.

In store, Maitreya has a free hairstyle and Doll House Dreams has a beautiful gown. Simply Britnee has many $1L items both regular and holiday specials. Al Designs Studios has very cute ballet flats out in their OnRez vendor. Two new finds for me were Every Day Girl who has out 2 cute dresses and Heart’s Blood had 3 outfits. I revisited Vintage Clothing Redproductions for their Day Dress c.1848 in pale green. I also revisited Fianna’s Frocks for their new $1L wasteland outfits for both men and women.

Devlish Cupcake reopened with some goodies over their fireplace. There are Christmas silks in 3 different colors are Solange. Do not miss out the free holiday skins over at Nyte N Day. Fluky has a winter themed gown and a box of other goodies at their store. Wardrobe Trunk has a cute cute and sneakers. There is a beautiful white and gold gown at Barbosa Creations which needs the cute panties from (N). Totally Betty has a cute dress in three colors out. Sammy’s Collection has a gown for the holidays. Oh, What a Neat Boutique dressed me up in aqua for the holidays.

If your friend is starting SL or if you create an alt(I know, no one has an alt), then you need to try starting yourself at CSI: NY because there are some fantastic avatar choices that put poor Ruth to shame. These avatars start with top rate stuff from shops like Last Call: Last Call, Kin, Sin Skins, and TorridWear.

Ingenue had a USO dress that was limited time only but you can still get her holiday sweater at the store. I hope you didn’t miss out on the great freebies that Ravenwear put out to celebrate their redesign. Also celebrating a store redesign, Spirit held a one day hunt to get a beautiful Snow Queen gown.

This week has kept me busy with all of the holiday items. Instead of 1-2 posts a day, all these goodies have had me averaging 4-5. Phew, I am going to need a vacation in January. Some shops are giving out gifts every day for either the month or until Christmas. Those shops are Angels, IBizzare, Ivalde(Ivalde group tag needed), Mondria Fashion, Reaction, Second Mirage, and Wrong. Add to that list Style Your Destiny who is giving out a free gift a day for the duration of Hanukkah and also has a few new $1L dresses.

For the holiday gifts at store there are not that many for men but head over to Demons and Angels and there are his and hers matching outfits. AnDee’s designs also has 12 freebies for men and 12 freebies for women for this month. Moontan has out a necklace that went great with the red Chinese print dress from CIA Designs. Dreamin’g Alice has a Christmas mini dress that comes with a hat. There is a plum pudding dress and a printed bustier over at Pin Up Dolls. There is the cutest red dress over at Ingenue. Alchemy and have side-by-side gifts with a Navidad dress and heels. Polish Up has a cute pair of black heels and Sylfie’s Prim Seduction has a free pair of holiday ankle boots and a pair of navy pumps. Samara Designs has a cozy sweater set that I wore with the free heels from Cinderella Designs.

Many shops have goodies under their Christmas trees like Tuli(skin, dresses, shirts), Love, Ally(a snowflake bikini), MB Designs(holiday shirts), Talisman(dresses, scarves, shirts, jewelry, mittens, earmuff, mittens, nixon animation, legwarmers),Sunflower(shoulder pet), and Gracie’s(Mardi Gras gown).

Many groups gave out holiday gifts as well. I gave my own group, Fabulously Free in SL, some holiday hair and snowflake accessories to wear with the shirts and accessorie that Tenshi ‘08 gave out. Bewitched Hair Update group got hair from Bewitched Hair and a lingerie from Bewitched Designs. Kallista Kreations gave out a nice holiday jewelry set. After seeing the beautiful ring set that Cailyn’s Classic Jewelry sent out I headed over to her shop and got her instore jewelry freebies. KessKreations gaive her group a heart necklace and she also has some nice freebies and $1L items at her store location. A free pair of ankle boots and a fur hat were given out to the Absentia update group. Bossa Nova gave her group an amazing holiday dress in white but the best part is if you go to the store you can get the same dress in red.

I made all the Trekkies out there proud when I shows the Star Trek: The Next Generation uniforms at the SCIFI Store. Accessories by Eolande has a beautiful barrette that goes with the Phoebe hairstyle from ETD. has really funky anime hair for you to try. Marlys released a new $1L hairstyle and Calla is giving out a necklace to celebrate the new locations at Le Zoo. If you visit the RMS Titanic, you can get free Victorian gowns from Smooth Designs. Evolution Creation & Mystics has a free gown with the sitting pretty script.

If you join the subscribe-o-matic for Soda you get a free skin and while you are there grab the package of $1L skins as well which comes in 2 skin tones and 2 makeups. Shinamuro has a cute free skin. There are 2 new skins over at Calla’s freebie area with makeup by L’Oreal Paris. Shapes by Zada has a beautiful plus-sized shape as well as free eyes for the holidays. For full avatars head over to Sky Shop for their businessman, senior citizen, and lola avatars complete with skin, shapes, eyes, clothing, shoes, hair, and accessories. To stop the flesh tone that shows up at the end of sleeves and bottom of pants, go to Robin Wood’s AV Store for special gloves and socks.

If storage for all your new found goods is a problem, then head over to Hexed and grab their overstuffed dresser to store all of your items in. As you can see this is a busy time for the freebie hunter and all of this did not include the freebies that expired during the week.

Free skins were all the rage this week, the week kicked off with Tete-a-Pied free NYC skin line that is available at The Gnubie Store. We headed over to the PRIMFActory for a look at the Insolence free skin which also offered lingerie and shoes. Sin Skin began a pearl hunt with has 5 different skins as part of the prize packs with lashes manicures and eyes as the others. CHAI Skins by LF gave their update group a set of skins in all 5 of their skins tones(freckled, too) called Brisque which comes with several color brows on bald bases.

Taco Taco Taco gave out 2 free shapes this week to their update group. For the ladies they offered a shape called Bettina which came in a regular version and a skirt version. For the men there was a Dennis Rodman celebrity shape that came complete with the famed piercings. Dennis needed some decent clothes for the casual male so I headed over to the The Gnubie Store and grabbed some jeans and a t-shirt collection from Rebel Hope Designs.

There were some gorgeous group gifts in the past week starting with CaLLie CLine’s Thanksgiving Day goodies that included a dress, sweater, and a belt. I live in the sweater. Battered Boudoir gave out their Eva Gown in tan. Encore sent their group a cute Freshman Set which went great with the free hair that Philotic Energy sent out to their group. The more beautiful gown I have ever seen called Tya’s Spice Gown was given out to Evie’s Closet’s update group. Artilleri sent out a gift of a cherries bra and panty set. Fuse gifted their subscribe-o-matic group with outfits for men and women which worked well with the Perry hair that Truth sent out to their group. Speaking of subscribe-o-matic, if you join Awesome’s group you get a free dress called Elena in Peach. Pixel Dust gave out a free unisex hairstyle to their group called Bailey. Simon! has several freebies at New Citizens Incorporated including her beautiful Annalissa in Purple. Miss B put up a holiday outfit that comes not only with the dress but hair and shoes as well. Wilted Rose celebrated the redesign of their area by putting out a free holiday dress. YumYum is giving out a cute ruffled black shirt that I showed with the scarf and bangle set from new designer, Just for Fun. Down the road from YumYum, I found Honey Soul giving out a red knit dress and white sweater with muffler.

I am sorry I am late with this but the holiday took over a bit. Now that I am out of that turkey coma: Wow, what a week this has been for freebies.

There were so many quickies this week that I hope you all jumped on them while they were around. For Thanksgiving we saw pajamas from Style Your Destiny with a turkey theme and a cute cost from LeeZu on the Fashion Consolidated group. Diversity’s group gave out free hair called Marci in all their new yummy textures. Bossa Nova has a free swimsuit for her update group which went great with the groupiehair over at Mau’s and Mej’s. Tuli update group not only had an amazing fall outfit but a goth skin with shape as well. Tete-a-Pied gave their group the Vivant Paon Skin 4 in every skin tone they sell. She’s So Unusual gave her group a special AO gift. Relika gave their group a golddigger dress. Ingenue gave out a gown to celebrate their new location.

I even found some stuff for the guys. Sure it is mixed in with some girl items but it is worth the stroll for the rare male freebies. I took a fantastic stroll around the Silverscreen sim that was loaded with goodies from Adam N Eve for movies like Die Hard and 300. Body Basic is a store that is completely free with shapes, skins, hair, and some formal wear.

LaynieWear put out the cutest free dress that matched perfectly with the silver Mary Janes from Digit Darkes. Philotic Enegry added a new $1L hairstyle to their shop. Steamstress has a bunch of freebies on their front wall which includes a novelty mustache. Another Shop has released another great free skin for the ladies. Icing added a new free dress to their shop.

Liquid Velvet Studios has a shop filled with $1L dress for the holidays with about different lolli dresses to pick from. Kiki’s Closet has out a Christmas lolli dress for the visitors to her shop.

Truth has given out so much hair to their subscribe-o-matic group that you really need to head over there and join. There have been some great quickies this week with Innovations giving out a fantastic Mana Dress which went great with the color demo freebie hair from Zyrraphotic and by adding a pair of cute wings from Faerytude. Ohter great quickies this week were the fantasy avatar kits(male & female) from Shapes by Zada, a grungy belt from Atomic Kitty, a striped tank top from Dutch Touch, turkey silks from QC Designs, polo neck shirts from Muism, celebrity shapes from Taco Taco Taco, and a load of hair from Bewitched.

This week I spent hours exploring some of the Japanese sims. It was there that I discovered the cute school girl outfit from Uma Usagi which went great with the hair gift last week from SugarCube. I also stumbled up and shop called Asian Monk Skins that had a cute skin called Paraiso.

For the ladies, Nikki Ree added a new freebie in the form of a pink satin gown that is to die for. Eros Designs has several outfit and tops for free while Talisman has everything you need to get started if you have a few lindens to spare with their $1L items. CaLLie CLine released two shirts with a funky flare that went perfect with the new Clymeme bangles from Rose Petal Creations. MAU’s & MEJ’s dressed us from head to toe(hair to shoes) with an Asian flare. The rookie of the week was DD’s Originals with a black and silver casual outfit.

The couple’s items were aplenty this week with casual outfits from Slab complete with shorts & shirts and Moonshine Clothing’s casual hoodies with information on Breast Cancer research and development on Bastian Street Shopping District. We saw costumes by Adam N Eve for the movies 300 and Die Hard with the Sparta outfits being the cream of the crop. Over in the Wastelands we found avatar costumes for the video game, Fallout. The diamond couple’s item this week was the dance dress and tuxedo from Urbanity.

There has been a post-Halloween dip in the seasonal freebies but there is hope on the horizon. Style Your Destiny released this cute Thanksgiving Kanti Dress for $1L. The dress is dark and light brown with a plum colored leaf on it. Other items on the quickie front was a beautiful gown set from Bossa Nova, an archangel wing & hair set from Bewitched, a cute hairstyle from SugarCube, and a full male avatar for the film Beowulf.

New freebies this week included Tesla releasing an ultra-cute pair of Mary Janes that are to die for. Seriously, these shoes are a must have so get your bums over there. Tuli has added a cute black dress that is perfect for wearing on most occasions. Style Your Destiny added a Lime Gulab Dress to their $1L items as well. Nuclear Boutique has changed their freebie of the week to a halter top and pair of blue capri pants.

Skins are it this week where we looked at a beautiful (and my new favorite) skin from Another Shop in their (Rd) tone.

Over at Callatropia, we took a peek at the full avatars known affectionately as Jack in a Box and Jill in a Box as well as the Aphrodite Skin free from Skins by Cathy located in the same area.

There were a few new shop discoveries this week. Wandering through a Japanese sim, I was tipped off to a kimono from HinaZakura, geisha & samurai knot hair from K@E Kids & Shapes, and several dresses from Ranoel Home & Shop. I found some unisex hair over at Mystikal to go with a few outfits I had picked up at Deka Designs.

The gem find of the week for me was Fianna’s Frocks which had Medieval style gowns in a variety of colors to choose from and a cluster lizard outfit so I got to dress up like Xev Bellringer. Who is Xev Bellringer? *Gasps*
