Spring is in the air, and beautiful floral patterns and bright, cheery colors are just my mood.  I picked up a few newer releases, and I was so pleased at how well they worked together.  I love it when a plan comes together!  Why yes, yes I did just quote The A-Team.  Wow.

Anyway, I picked up the adorable Strappy Free Dress from Kenzie & Co., and I just knew that it would look so cute as just a top.  So I paired it with beautiful new Pivoine skirt from Ingenue, which complements the pink flowers in the top very well.  Since the skirt requires the use of a system skirt (which is very well done), I had to stretch the top a bit, edit linked parts, and fiddle with it to make it fit properly.  But after a little bit of work, I finally got it to look good.  I have to admit that I finally gave in and took a trip to Maitreya to check out the new shoes.  Maitreya Allure is absolute perfection in shoe form, and I couldn’t help but pick up a few.  And it turns out that they’re perfect for this look.

I chose a few accessories to finish off the look, starting with this adorable bow/button hairpiece from the Clawtooth Roaring 20′s hat/hair combo.  The hat and hair weren’t right for this look, so I decided to wear the aptly-named Lovely Liz hairstyle from Clawtooth instead.  Then I added this fantastic Found Charms Necklace from (Yummy), which is so beautifully crafted and sports adorable keys and charms.  I finished off the look with my super cute gold Florina ring from (Shiny Things) and this amazing beanie straw bag from LG Boutique.  I hope everyone had an amazing weekend!

The weather today is just about perfect for a picnic, and I can assure you that there is no place I would rather be than outdoors enjoying a gorgeous spring afternoon.  I lucked out with this awesome picnic basket, so I thought I’d build a comfy look around it and enjoy a virtual picnic in a beautiful sim.

This amazing picnic basket is a gacha prize from d-lab.  I don’t play gacha machines very often, but I couldn’t resist going after this basket, and I actually lucked up on the very first try!  I have been wanting to wear this adorable tee from [MAGIC NOOK] for over a week now, and I thought it might be perfect for a comfy picnic look.  So I paired it with this cute vintage salopette from *COCO*, which I absolutely love.  Then I tossed on these comfy panu shoes from Picnic, which are definitely some must-own shoes.

For accessories, I chose this amazing Maya Scarf from [Decoy], which provides just the perfect punch of color to the look.  This fantastic Yelena hairstyle from fri.day comes with the texture-change hat, and it is definitely one of my favorites.  And last but not least, I’ve become really attached to my -Belleza- Elle skin, and I won’t leave home without it.

It is definitely a lazy Sunday for me, and I felt like wearing something cute, casual, and comfy.  More on the clothes in a minute, but I wanted to point out this awesome new sim, Morning Glory, which is really so pretty.  It’s the new home of :: Awesome Blossom ::, Molto Bene!, and Olive Juice, and the scenery is very beautiful.  So be sure to check it out!

I picked up this awesome new collarless denim vest at *ARGRACE* yesterday, and I just had to build an outfit around it.  It is very well done, with adorable button details, superb texturing, and a handy resize script that makes fitting a breeze.  I paired it with this adorable Rachelle Cropped Bustier from Whippet & Buck, which is the perfect blend of cute and sexy.  Then I added these amazing Rolled.Cargos from fri.day, which sport fantastic sculpted cargo pockets and rolled cuffs.  And I really hope you picked up these adorable shoelace sandals from Surf Co. during 50L Friday.  They are way awesome.

I really love this cupcake bag from DUBOO, so I added it as that little something extra.  Otherwise I kept it pretty simple with my cute Stacie hairstyle from >TRUTH< and my lovely Elle skin from -Belleza-.  I hope everyone had a lovely weekend so far.  Enjoy what’s left of it!

I wanted to pull together a classic, yet interesting look for today’s post, so I mixed a few casual and semi-dressy items together to create an almost vintage appeal.  Cute and casual is definitely my style, and I think today’s look really suits me.  And, in my book, nothing beats an adorable double-piggie hairstyle.

This adorable blouse is part of the Sway Sundress at Surf Co.  I really loved the dress on its own, but I wanted to try something a little different and wear only the shirt and poof top attachment.  I thought it would look best paired with some high-waisted pants, so I chose these awesome Leslie pants from Ingenue, which provided the exact look I wanted.  Then I added these super cute canvas shoes from PIDIDDLE, which add a nice color splash and perfectly complement the look.

For accessories, I started with this fantastic tote bag from Tres Blah, which I’m pretty sure was a previous 50L Friday item.  Then I added this amazing sea-colored Opus necklace from ~SIGMA~Jewels and this gorgeous Pearl Rain bracelet from MANDALA, which are both fabulous pieces.  To create a good mix of casual and semi-dressy items, I chose this adorable new Kylie double-piggie hairstyle from >TRUTH<, which is just too cute.  And, of course, I finished off the look with my beautiful Elle skin from -Belleza-, with its gorgeous deep red pout.

I found this adorable dress last night and couldn’t help but go a little bit crazy throwing this look together.  I don’t usually assemble super-femme looks like this and actually wear them in-world for an extended period of time, but I found myself hesitant to take this one off because this dress is just absolutely perfect.  It makes me feel like like twirling around or going dancing or something.  Someone take me dancing so I have an excuse not to take this dress off, k?

I picked up this adorable dress at Tee*fy, and I wasn’t too sure about how it would look on me, but I took a chance and bought it anyway.  And honestly, it is one of my favorite purchases in the past few weeks.  I absolutely love the poofy, sheer qualities of the skirt, the subtly sexy fit of the bodice, and the adorable shoulder straps.  It comes in several different colors, all of which are gorgeous, and you can wear it with or without the belt.  I paired it with these awesome crochet tights from Doux Petit Dahl, which were so inexpensive and provided the perfect accent to this look.  Then I added these adorably sexy black ChiChi pumps from Maitreya, which are really irreplaceable to me.  These shoes are so old, but I have never found another pair of pumps in SL to take their place, and you’d be wise to at least own a black pair.

For accessories, I started with this cute neck ribbon from =DeLa*=, then I added this fantastic black satin and lace drawstring handbag from (Shiny Things).  To finish it off, I chose these cute silver and pink Clare earrings from ~SIGMA~Jewels and this amazing Water Over Wine ring from Paper Couture, which I wear all the time.  You can’t really tell in these pics, but this Annie hairstyle from >TRUTH< is a super adorable quasi-ponytail with cute hairpin accents.  And, of course, the newly released -Belleza- Elle skin is my current favorite.

I am sure that most of us have been bullied in either our RL or SL (or very likely in both), so I’m sure it is no surprise to any of us how physically and emotionally damaging bullying can be.  There have been times in my RL when I just wanted to run away from home and never be seen again simply to escape persecution for being the smart kid in class.  Likewise, there have been MANY times in my SL when I wanted to click that tempting “X” in the corner, erase anything and everything SL-related on my laptop, and never look back.  To be honest, I am not sure I will ever understand how people can find it so easy to create targets (most likely out of boredom and their own insecurities) and obsess over punishing them for their perceived flaws.

So what can we do about it?  Obviously, we can’t solve all of the problems of the world or even put a stop bullying by simply wearing a pink t-shirt.  But we can can stand up, speak up, and create a buzz around a truly buzzworthy topic in an effort to bring it to light and raise awareness.

I think it is important for us to do our own research to really understand what bullying is so that we can become more aware of our own bully-like tendencies.  Maybe you already knew this, and maybe you didn’t, but bullying can include physical violence, spreading bad rumors, purposefully excluding another person from a group of activity, teasing in a mean or inappropriate way, and forming groups to gang up on individuals.  It happens when someone scares or hurts another person on purpose, usually on a repeat basis, attacking the victim over and over, causing fear and creating a crippling inability to defend against attacks.

Cyberbullying happens electronically.  This can include some of the categories of normal bullying, but can also include posting nasty rumors, pictures, or messages about others on blogs, forums, or other websites, or using another’s name to pose as them and spread rumors about them via the internet.

I think it is important for us to realize that we have to start a change within ourselves and hope others follow by example.  Therefore, I am making a resolution not to engage in any of the above activities or any that might be construed as bullying.  I know how it feels, and I do not want to inflict that pain on anyone else.  I also plan to institute a zero tolerance policy when it comes to bullying, because watching it happen is just as bad as doing it myself.  Let’s take a stand against this crap.  Who knows… it could make a huge difference.

Sometimes the in-between seasonal weather can be a pain.  You know… when you wake up in the morning, and it’s cold outside, but by lunch it’s scorching.  That’s how the weather is treating me in my neck of the woods.  So, I’m caught in the layering trap, and it can make it difficult to dress for the day.  But layering can also be fun.  I felt like throwing together a look that could be easily adjusted to adapt to cooler or warmer weather, so here ya go!

I picked up this awesome violet parka at *ARAI* last night, and I absolutely love it!  It is a unisex item and comes with both female and male parts for easier fitting.  The female parts were still a bit large on my av, but resizing was a cinch.  I paired the adorable parka with this amazing new Traveler’s.Tank from fri.day, which sports a sculpted tank bottom.  The texturing is awesome, and the sexy fit of the tank is just right.  I decided to wear these gorgeous white chinos from Zaara because they just seem to fit the look perfectly, and they also fit in with the “is it hot or is it cold?” motif.

For accessories, I chose this gorgeous Elizabeth necklace from *KessKreations*, which is both metal and gemstone changeable, making it super easy for me to tailor it to my color palette.  Then I added this adorable opal square stone ring from (Elate!), which is one of my favorite rings.  It is simple, yet beautiful, and it makes a big statement in any look.  And finally, the adorable Lizzie hairstyle from >TRUTH< was an easy choice for me as it is one of my faves, and this new Elle skin from -Belleza- is absolutely breathtaking, so I highly recommend you check out some demos.

I went for a simple, feminine look today because I just felt like being cute.  I’ve been busy, busy, busy working on Pose Fair posts for my own blog, and it was nice to slow down a little bit and just work on an outfit for a change.  I found this adorable new top, and I couldn’t wait to build a look around it.  Hope you like it!

I’ve been on a Meriken Co. kick lately, and I found this adorable ruffly top there yesterday.  It is exactly like something I own and love in RL, and I couldn’t resist the urge to grab it up in every color offered.  I paired it with this awesome denim mini from Adam n Eve, which is a steady favorite of mine.  Then I layered in this super cute lacey henley tank from Nylon Outfitters, which is textured really well and adds an adorable detail to the look.

For shoes, I decided to try these awesome Ethnic Bijou Sandals from AOHARU WALK, which I have owned for quite a while now.  I’ve never tried them in a look before, but I knew they would be perfect for this one.  To be honest, they are a bit difficult to tint (probably because this is an older HUD), and I’m not really sure if they are available at AOHARU or ANEXX, but it’s definitely worth a try.  The shading is a bit dark in certain areas, making tinting even more difficult, but I love the bejeweled design, and the toes are really adorable.

For accessories, I decided to add these great gold Orian earrings from ~SIGMA~Jewels, my awesome Golden Wings Ring from Paper Couture, and these fantastic bangles I found at Indy & Co. courtesy of Felicity’s Editor’s Picks in Issue 34 of Second Style Magazine.  If you haven’t checked it out yet, it is full of wonderful goodies, and I highly recommend you give it a look!

To those who celebrate: Happy Easter!  And to those who don’t: Happy Candy Day!  Eat chocolate goodies until your bellies are full and your hearts are content, kiddos!  I’ve put together a bright ensemble for you today, so I hope you enjoy it while you bite the head off that chocolate bunny in your hand.

I picked up this awesome Jori dress at MichaMi, and I really love the modern look of it.  The attachments are very easy to fit and resize, and I really love the subtle designs on the textures used here.  The smart construction of this dress provides a very striking overall look, and I think it works really well.  I paired the dress with these awesome fishnet leggings from *Fishy Strawberry*, which sport some adorable ribbon ties at the bottom.  Then I added these fantastic Tiger heels from SLink, which are downright amazing.  If you are looking for sexy heels with gorgeous prim feet, I guarantee you will find something you like at SLink.

I kept accessories to a bare minimum by adding only this beautiful clear/gold Trusha ring from Zaara, but I think it’s more than effective.  I tried on a million hairstyles today, but I finally settled on the new Leona hairstyle from >TRUTH<, which I think is just about perfect for this look.  I really love the curly tendrils Truth added to his latest batch of releases, and I hope to see more of them in coming releases.  And, of course, today’s skin is my trusty Eva skin from []::Tuli::[], but this time with a striking red lipstick.

I thought I’d bring you a cute springtime look today.  I wanted something bright and cheerful, and I knew a big color splash was in order.  Besides, I never bought into the whole “no white shoes before Easter” crap.  Stupid fashion faux pas are meant to be broken.  Or perhaps they just don’t apply at all in SL.

To start off my color splash for today, I decided to wear this bright orange pleated skirt from -LMK-.  I really love the high-waisted fit, the nice texturing, and yummy color selection of this skirt.  I paired it with this super cute Grazia top from Whippet & Buck, which I have had hiding in my inventory for quite a while now.  I adore this blouse, which is beautifully textured and adds a nice pattern to the look.  Then I added this awesome new no collar leather jacket from AOHARU, which is absolutely amazing.  Don’t even THINK before you buy it… just do it!  I promise that you won’t be disappointed.

For shoes, I thought my white Devoue Sandals from .*Courtisane*. would be perfect for this look, and I think they add just the right amount of sass to the outfit.  Then I added quite a few accessories to complete the look.  First, this awesome Memories Ducky necklace from LaGyo perfectly complements the color palette.  And these adorable Aidan bangles from :: Exodi :: are color-change, making it extremely easy to customize to match this outfit.  My Athshe earrings from > alaMood < were a former group gift, and they add a subtle, yet colorful accent to my ears.  And this awesome Menuet ring from U&R Dogs is so beautiful, and I have been looking for an excuse to wear it since the Accessories Fair.  Last, but not least, the sassy Melinda hairstyle from >TRUTH< is a new fave, and I’m completely addicted to my lovely []::Tuli::[] Eva skin.
