I am sorry I am late with this but the holiday took over a bit. Now that I am out of that turkey coma: Wow, what a week this has been for freebies.

There were so many quickies this week that I hope you all jumped on them while they were around. For Thanksgiving we saw pajamas from Style Your Destiny with a turkey theme and a cute cost from LeeZu on the Fashion Consolidated group. Diversity’s group gave out free hair called Marci in all their new yummy textures. Bossa Nova has a free swimsuit for her update group which went great with the groupiehair over at Mau’s and Mej’s. Tuli update group not only had an amazing fall outfit but a goth skin with shape as well. Tete-a-Pied gave their group the Vivant Paon Skin 4 in every skin tone they sell. She’s So Unusual gave her group a special AO gift. Relika gave their group a golddigger dress. Ingenue gave out a gown to celebrate their new location.

I even found some stuff for the guys. Sure it is mixed in with some girl items but it is worth the stroll for the rare male freebies. I took a fantastic stroll around the Silverscreen sim that was loaded with goodies from Adam N Eve for movies like Die Hard and 300. Body Basic is a store that is completely free with shapes, skins, hair, and some formal wear.

LaynieWear put out the cutest free dress that matched perfectly with the silver Mary Janes from Digit Darkes. Philotic Enegry added a new $1L hairstyle to their shop. Steamstress has a bunch of freebies on their front wall which includes a novelty mustache. Another Shop has released another great free skin for the ladies. Icing added a new free dress to their shop.

Liquid Velvet Studios has a shop filled with $1L dress for the holidays with about different lolli dresses to pick from. Kiki’s Closet has out a Christmas lolli dress for the visitors to her shop.

Truth has given out so much hair to their subscribe-o-matic group that you really need to head over there and join. It doesn’t cost you any of your 25 spots on SL so you have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Go to http://www.subscribeomatic.com/groups/index and subscribe to any groups that interest you.

Sioxie Legend (of SecondWave — she made the bikini set below) sent me this ad texture about the huge sale she and her parcel neighbor Charlotte Morellet (of SODA — she made the brown top to the left) are having this July 4th and 5th. This bikini and the top above don’t appear to be part of the sale, but they are recent releases from both designers and representative of the kind of work that they regularly release. Although the sale items are outfit, there’s still some great bargains inside including the Ivory Lace Cami+Tee at SecondWave for just L$35 — it’s really a steal at that price. (I’m wearing that top for my Second Style headshot in #9 — almost done now.)

The sale is between their stores in tents (Plush Gamma 74, 216, 21) and includes older designs, some older unreleased items and a few of the newest design releases. There’s even some festive July 4 freebie items. Nothing will be over L$100.

A few other sale notes for holiday shopping:

• Liquid Velvet Studios is having an inventory clearance sale — all red tagged items will be L$100. Sale runs from July 4-9 and once it’s over the tagged items are gone for good. Stop by LVS at Forsaken Enterprises (88, 157, 501)

• Canimal is having a big inventory reduction sale on her sim as well. The sale runs through July 10 and like LVS’, once it’s over, the items are gone from Second Life. Sale vendors are located at Canimal 232, 29, 26

Designer Ravenlynn Templar has a lot of range — she creates everything from fabulous evening gowns, to elegant daywear, to the slinkiest, sexiest clubwear. Lately, though, she’s been trying to find a new home for her brand, Liquid Velvet — a newly opened club in her old location would frequently max out the sim, preventing her customers from shopping at her store.

So she’s moved to the Forsaken sim, home of Leyla Christensen’s club of the same name. For some time, Ravenlynn has been designing some pieces not only as general merchandise for her store, but also as prizes and special incentives for participation in Forsaken club events, so it’s nice to see the circle close.

Ravenlynn is offering several deals and discounts to celebrate the grand opening of her new home store location — and she hasn’t stopped working on new items for sale. I wanted to quickly highlight two of the latest additions: Dangerous, part of the aforementioned Forsaken line — a very risque club look with a semi-sheer corset paired up with a leather skirt and Modern Romance, an evening gown she created in collaboration with Mekan. Aside from the new outfits, Ravenlynn is hosting a special “Dollar sale” where the items are all L$1, but they’re also no transfer!

Still, I enjoy shopping (and wearing) LVS, so it’s nice to know that it has a new home where it’ll be much easier to shop. Head over and take a look at the L$1 sale and browse the rest of the sim. That’s my plan, as soon as I can!

It’s been a while since I checked in with Ravenlynn Templar — and wow — she’s been putting together some great new items. The top ad shows Ravenlynn’s brand new super detailed gown, Winter’s Gem (the green version). It also comes in blue and red. It’s a sumptuous nearly over-the-top Miss Second Life pageant looking gown — but if you really like couture drama — and you like to answer vapid questions with vapid answers:

Q. Miss Trollop, representing Pi sim, what would you do to save the orphans of Second Life?
A. I like puppies!

This is totally the gown for you. Hey, it’s going into MY inventory! Maybe someone will have a Miss Second Life beauty pageant. You never know. And I really do like it — it’s got (Eurovision) DIVA stenciled all over it.

Another new release is the Isabella outfit: a line of cowled sweaters in lots of colors paired up with LVS take on the classic denim skirt. These sets include lots of back-to-the-80s accessories including yep, the iconic leg warmers. It’s enough to make me want to weld things while trying to dance my way to my dreams.

If my luck holds, the Miss Second Life pageant will feature a soundtrack of all 80s one-hit-wonders. She’s a maniac, maniac on the floor…

During the swimwear photo shoot for Second Style #3, the Amor bikini by Ravenlynn Templar was easily one of the models’ favorites for the entire layout. It’s one of my personal favorites too. Early this morning, Ravenlynn released Sunny Days, a set of two tops (one bra, one cami), a thong and denim skirt. The bra and thong could be a bikini, or it could be a racy piece of outerwear with the skirt. No matter how you wear it, you’ll look great in this LVS outfit. The 1.10 release has two amazing features (and a lot of lovely little UI tweaks): usable local lighting and 3 flexible prim shapes (no flexi torii, alas. Prim hair creators everywhere are very sad — but also very innovative — some flexihair is released already and some is still being developed — I spy my little eye on Lash Xevious’ flexihair experiments on snapzilla; a beta hair now available for L$50!) Just like at Hair Fair when there was an explosion of much new goodness, I’ve chosen a few of my favorites to highlight, and then link the all of the forum posts.

I was so thrilled to find this release on the forums this morning. Finally, some girly “modest” lingerie — it’s pretty, decidely feminine, and sexy without a trace of hoochie. Essence is part of Ravenlynn Templar’s new Forsaken line of clothing, a collaboration with Leyla Christensen, the owner/DJ of the Forsaken Club. Essence comes in four beautiful colors, including the rich silky champagne shown left. Also available are cornsilk blue, cream and baby pink. These are available now at Liquid Velvet Studios main store in Yulmu.

Ravenlynn Templar released Daisy Doll, a super cute, super summery denim shorts and top set featuring a simple but darling daisy accent in the middle of the bust of this lightweight halter. And as for the shorts? I guess they’re not technically cheeky enough to be “daisy dukes” but they’re pretty close. Visit Liquid Velvet Studios in Yulmu to get it.

It’s getting warmer, but this bikini wrap from LVS is so hot you could wear it in a winter sim and raise the temperature.
