The hardest part about working with plum this week was choosing which color(s) to pair it with.

I settled on a look that let me weave in some other purple-y hues, but I could have just as easily paired my plum with royal blue, silver, deep red, or even goldenrod to pack a little more punch.

How cute would any of those combinations be as alternatives to the LBD as you begin your round of seasonal soirees?

Whatever you decide, I recommend popping over to Armidi and Ce Cubic Effect for some staples and dropping by Tee*fy, Pig, and Miel for a few fun embellishments.

Oh…sweet sweet new skins. The grid was hit today with new DNA and new LeLutka. I got my friend Rob Moonites to blog with me again so he could show off the new DNA. Oh, you want a close up of Rob? Okay…coming up.

There are these tiny freckles, so handsome. His pea coat is an absolute favorite of mine, it fits well..it looks amazing and it is by one of my favorite stores in SL, en Salve. Rob’s pants are actually his own brand, Fir & MNA and there is also a female version that I have blogged a few times. They make your ass look great, just sayin’.

Now my turn…LeLutka released one of my now favorite skins, Natasha. The face reminds me a bit of London, which I adored.  Love…you need to go demo it. The face is so soft and sweet I feel like a virgin again. Oh shush, someone had to say it. Let’s talk shoes…Maitreya released Moxie today and the whole grid nearly collapsed in female sighs of happy. Not me of course, I kept it cool. For the 10 seconds it took me to unpack and try them on.

The anxiety…omg the anxiety. I needed those boots…that skin…those sweaters and skybox. Was it going to happen? Well, it sorta  of did.

Glam Affair Nina…I may not take off for at least two days. Possibly three. Straight. That is huge for me. HUGE. I will even wear it weekly. Oh yeah. I may be growing up and embracing skin commitment. Or not. Right now though, loving Nina with the best red lips in SL.

Surf Couture Paperboy Ankle Boots were on the top of my MUST BUY list, so when I finally was able to tp in to One Eleven, I was on a mission and they were my very first purchase. So not disappointed. Excellent work, and the texturing is gorgeous. Typical Emma Gilmour work…lovely. The adorable dress I am wearing is also from One Eleven and the work of W&B. Very cute, awesome shading and a must have. I am not wearing all I was able to purchase but let me tell you…worth it. So cute and well made. These designers really put their all into their items.  I hope you guys are able to tp over there and be one of the 111.

Oh and the skybox I wanted? Didn’t happen…so to make up for my sadness I had a piece of pumpkin pie. Okay, I had two pieces!

Holidays have always been a huge deal in my family. Tons of food, music playing from sunrise till way past sunset. Tons of relatives and always..always a lot of laughing.  Now, they are a bit more quiet…a lot less food but the music and laughing? Always.

My LeeZu folder is bursting at the seams, but there is always and I mean always room for more. This latest Tate minidress is so perfect…that it makes me feel like…

I paired it with the gorgeous Trinity hair from Truth, Jolie V2 from Dutch Touch, Courtisane Esprit De Sable and my latest and most favorite piece of jewelry…the Earthstones Eternally set in Garnet.

Regardless of how you celebrate the upcoming holidays, surrounded my family and friends, friends that seem like family or any other way…may you have much much happiness.

It is snowing in my little corner of the world so I wanted nothing more than to be all bundled up.  I have also been feeling pretty lazy the entire weekend so….I asked my friend Rob  Moonites, designer behind Fir & Mna  and a sometimes fellow blogger to join me in some winter attire, in hopes of getting me motivated.

It only semi worked. I got sad when I realized that he looked better than I did. Whatever. I think it was bad lightening.

Are you asking yourself why if I was cold, my legs are bare? Good question, I will chose the answer as vanity. My outfit is one that I have had for a while but I adoreeee. It just looks like something warm, cozy and fun to wear when the weather starts to change. The boots are Bax and a staple in my wardrobe and for most women in SL.  Just sweet and simple. Perfect for a lazy Sunday.

Oh and Rob? I am still miffed that he got ready in under 5 minutes AND looked better, but it is only fair to point down there and let you know where you can buy all he is wearing.  No, I am teasing! Thanks to you Rob for helping me out…but next time let me be the cute one. Okay, thanks.

I have a confession.

When I put together my submission for this week’s color challenge, I kind of felt like I cheated.  It’s not that I didn’t have/couldn’t find anything goldenrod– it’s that I got attached to the idea of making it the ‘center’ of my outfit in a less obvious, more creative way.  I didn’t want to bathe myself in it (it’s not a color I could really stomach doing that with) but I still wanted it to be the first thing you noticed when you looked at my ensemble.

Those nights that you laugh until you cry? Love them.

Dutch Touch Jolie v2 has not left my face since it was released. Yes, it was only yesterday but seriously…for me? Epic. I change my skins constantly throughout the day so one skin in 24 hours? Huge. Like all of Iki’s work it is just gorgeous. Let’s talk couverture skirts, I am adoring her skirts lately…so so cute. This tulle one fits amazing and I love how flowy flowish it is when I walk. Flowy Flowish – I think that is a perfect description.

Adorable GField Ruffle bolero along with their latest release of Little Diva flats…love.  Aside from how well everything is made from GField – the prices are just..wow. Very reasonably priced. Very.

Along with this being an amazing day, it was also exhausting so I need some sleep!

To add a bit of color (pun intended) to my upcoming posts, I’ve joined the dozens of bloggers and virtual fashion enthusiasts who’ve already taken up Luna Jubilee’s 52 Weeks of Color Challenge.  The idea of the challenge is to put together an ensemble that uses the week’s color as much as possible. Luna posts the featured color a week in advance, so if you’re like me and enjoy taking some time to dabble as you create your ‘do’s, you can add the hue to your shopping list and still have plenty of time to piece together your looks.

Because I missed the initial week, my first submission mixes blue with a few drops of grey.  A bit dreary, I admit, but I added some pops of red and white for fun (and patriotism, apparently?).  I admit that the blue in the first look is pushing the boundaries a bit, but I couldn’t resist adopting that shade when I saw Tee*fy’s new socks.  Could you?  Exactly.

Sissy Pessoa of BAIASTICE has released yes another line of hair attachments that coordinate with her gorgeous Pulchra line of skins.

She’s created both conservative and some fashion forward looks that offer gorgeous styles to everyone.

I was in a very BAIASTICE kind of place and pulled out her Saba leather pants, without the waist attachment, and her macrame body suits. I love the body suit, it’s perfect in any season with it’s heavy woven lace look. Read the rest of this entry »

Rob1977 Moonites the owner/designer behind Fir&MNA is a pretty talented guy. He is constantly working on improving his skills and always has something in the works. He released some very cool pants yesterday that are for both men and women ….

Nice, right? Variety of colors…and you cannot see them here because I am wearing the new and very scrumptious GOS  boots, but there are also cuffs that look pretty good with flats. Or sneakers. Or whatever type of shoes you want to wear. They are verrrry well made, I cannot find a flaw and trust me…I love to bust Rob’s chops so I really looked. Nothing. Pfth.
