I like mixing the cute, feminine items in my inventory with some of the boyish, more unisex items to create a look with a little more depth than my usual garb. I have been wanting to wear this tutu for a while now, but I couldn’t quite piece together the look I wanted, and I didn’t want to go for the ballerina look. So I gave it another try last night, and I think I finally came up with a look that I love!
You’ve probably seen this tutu from Nylon Outfitters all over the feed lately, but I absolutely love it! It’s so big and poofy, and it just makes me happy to twirl around in it. The skirt’s sort of high-waisted fit was just right for this awesome Lizzy Cropped Boatneck from Whippet & Buck, so I chose this down-to-earth tobacco color. I LOVE the peek-a-boo quality of the ribbon-tied back, and the lace detail is just amazing, so I decided to wear this new brown Sequins Vest from *Fishy Strawberry* to add some depth to the look, also allowing the gorgeous back of the blouse to show. The vest required a lot of resizing and adjusting to work with the look and fit properly, but it was definitely worth it. And it was a mere L$50 at the *Fishy Strawberry* new mainstore sale, so I highly recommend you pick it up and try it.
I added some tomboyish flare with these awesome knee high socks from *NUT*. *NUT* houses a ton of adorable items, so if you haven’t been yet, you really need to check it out. Then I added these adorable desert boots from Maitreya, which are sooo old but just plain awesome. For accessories, I decided I needed a bit of color, so I chose this gorgeous and colorful Balini necklace from Zaara. Then I thought this super cute vase of tulips from Dutchie would be a nice accent, so I just made a copy, attached it to my hand, and adjusted it to fit. And, of course, the hair is the gorgeous Alex from Maitreya, and the skin is the amazing Alyson from -Belleza-.
