Second Style Magazine

I think it’s pretty obvious that my personal style is VERY feminine and tends to lean more toward cute than sexy.  But, hey… that’s just me.  And if I changed my fundamental style by vamping it up too much, I’d be trying too hard and neglecting my own unique sense of style.  Am I a style expert? Absolutely not.  But I know great clothes when I see them, and I love experimenting.  This look just sort of happened, and I had no idea what to call it, so I settled on “prairie boho.”  And I think it suits me perfectly.

I found this fantastic red check tunic at **M+M**, and one look at it had me convinced to click buy.  Check out the gorgeous textures used here, and the exquisite shape and shading.  The adorable ruffle and bow details make me squeal, and I think it’s more than fair to say that this is one of my absolute favorite tops on the grid.  The tunic itself is a bit lowcut for this look, so I layered in this adorable ruffle sleeve tee (sleeves omitted, of course) from SKIN FLICKS, which is amazingly shaded and more modestly cut than the tunic.

Then I added this gorgeous vintage denim skirt from BP*, which is exactly what I needed to pull off the prairie hobo look.  I love the realistic, worn look of the denim, and the flexi skirt moves quite well.  For boots, I thought the brown LeatherRidersBoots from ANEXX would suit the look, and each time I wear them I fall a little bit more in love with them.  As far as accessories go, I think I hit the jackpot with this awesome goldenrod SACK bag from [LeLutka], the adorable wooden bracelet from /artilleri/, and the gorgeous Golden Wings ring from Paper Couture.  And to finish off the look, I chose the amazing double-braided Lizzie hairstyle from >TRUTH<, and the extremely adorable Alyson skin from -Belleza-.
