Date Night:Who You Calling Princess?

0

With the winter holiday season in full swing one thing is certain – none of us has too many gowns. NO WAY. If you think you are set, you are probably confused.  You didn’t intend to wear something more than once did you? GASP!

Tacky.

What you should probably do is feast your eyes on the gorgeous Brocade Princess from Musashi-DO and pick up at least one color for your next formal event. It comes in a variety of elegant winter hues that are perfect for formal events even past New Years.

The navy in the first photo is a perfect winter color, but this green certainly seems to fall right into place this time of year. There are also options for red and maroon as well as black that I’m not showing you today – but that are amazing nonetheless. This green I’m wearing the solid color sash vs. the brocade print.  It’s a beautiful option that lends versatility to this dress – you guys know I love options!

And now, a true story – inspired by the Teal color!

A deep rich teal is one of my favorite colors. When I was a senior in high school, I begged my mother to make my prom dress (she is a dressmaker). I ordered the patterns for Princess Diana’s wedding gown – and Cinderella’s dress from the ball. I made my mother cobble together the bodice from Diana’s gown and the skirt from Cinderella.

Let’s just say – this dress in teal in pixel format is far superior than that dress as it is not comprised of any elements not designed to go together. :)

It just might be one of the most beautiful dresses in my inventory. I’m still deciding.
