Date Night:What If We Stayed In?

0

The Harajuku Box Skinfaire had several fun and unusual skins but this “Spoiled” Makeup from PINK FUEL’s Raine was the one I had to have. I may go back later and pick up the same skin in the other makeup, I liked them both but leaned toward this one so ran out of the shop and home to try it on. It doesn’t disappoint.

You may have heard the stampede to Annyka Becker’s BLOWPOP to snap up her recent release of FELICE which comes in a huge variety of tones and has both chemise or lingerie options in the same textures.

The prim skirt piece in the middle is remarkably well fitted. Prim pieces for this style of skirt are my personal nemesis -  but Cajsa wore this chemise out to a den of inquity we attended for entertainment and I spent forever looking for the prim piece. It’s so nicely crafted, I didn’t even spend forever in poses looking for one that made it look “right”.

Date Night: TO THE BASTILLE!

0

Okay in all fairness, I missed Bastille Day by a few. 4 days to be exact. But when racking my brain for an idea, Silo popped up with BASTILLE DAY as a theme and I came running up the computer room to make it happen.

You might think, being silly as I am, that I’d come out with some sort of headless AV (I DO have the Anim for that btw!) but instead I went for the red white and blue – to celebrate something besides the old US of A. Read the rest of this entry »

Date Night:Likka House’s Giselle

0

Wandering around some sims the other day, Cajsa and I stumbled into Likka House. I found several pieces that I just adored but I’ve save this ballet inspired GISELLE for my Saturday feature.

A ballet is a great romantic date and always an opportunity to put on something elegant and feminine. Well – girls like it anyway, don’t we?

This feather light dress floats on air when you move and dances with delicate movements. I tried to capture some of it’s motion for you to show you how very light and airy it is.

I’m wearing new skins from the soon to open 5th and Oxford and some of the most exciting new shoes on the grid – from Hays Uriza. Of course they aren’t that exciting in white…..I’m really going to have to break them out for you next week. They are delish.

Here is a quick look at the Audrey Skins in the Fair tone which I favor.

They are very sophisticated and mature in style – at least these sample is! It’s a very different look for Gidge but quite pretty.

Date Night:Kalli Heart Designs Girly Stuffs

2

Recently Cajsa Lilliehook, my blog partner on It’s Only Fashion, and I were in a dark Gothic sim, doing a little shopping when we were approached by some sort of demon/bunny/minotaur/horsey/devil thing. The avatar in question asked us if we like sexy clothes and invited us to his role-play sim for some new demon/bunny/minotaur/horsey/devil shopping experience.

While I fumbled for an excuse NOT to travel to his full combat shopping sim, Cajsa summed it up neatly. “That isn’t really my style. I’m more of a girly girl.”

Ditto.

Kalli Heart Designs dropped on me the Jolie Ensemble and I must admit, the pink color has my girly-girl heart. The beautiful detailing on the bodice both front and back is indicative of the time and attention the creator put into this dress. Bravo! Aside from the detailing gold – the texture is an opalescent pink which shimmers and has purplish undertones.

Plus this creator took a note from the bloggers wish list and provides us with so many layers that it TOOK me a moment to decipher what all I had. BRILLIANT!  Tons of layers means TONS Of options. The bodice comes in a sheer and opaque option. I’ve worn the sheer but on all three layers undershirt/shirt/jacket for a LESS revealing look.

The Symphony Skin SSv3 in Alto tone – Pink Diamonds make up is a gorgeous compliment to this dress. Elysia – from Diversity Hair – is a new style and is still available at the HAIR FAIR!

I was feeling old school and broke out my Juicy Slingbacks. I forgot how much I love them!

*A Note about the Necklace – I bought it at a store called Prinny’s  Prims- but I can’t find that store any more. I’m listing the current jewelry store in that creators picks as she is the designer of pieces in that store. Must be a name change!

Marni Grut- Top 5 Skins

1

My top 5 skins on all time

This is my seem like a vague fashion post but I was in the mood today to dig through my inventory of doom. I hate that once there’s a new skin out all those old loved faces get lost into my inventory. And because the 3 year anniversary of Second style is rolling around, here they are some new and some old Faces. I’m not featuring the brand more than once simply to make it a bit more fair.

Also this mean seem very odd to a lot of you but I simply look at faces on skins, as long as the body is seamless and nice to put clothes on top of I’m happy, therefore ill be featuring the face only because that’s what iv fallen in love with. I have kept the same eyes, lashes and shape for all these pictures simply because I felt it would give people and honest idea of the faces on these beauties.

Blog Curio

Curio:
Gala/Curio: Petal light, Vixen – Mink 2
Eyes: Glanze
Hair: Aitui – Icarus’ Fall Blonde + Black
Lashes: Cake, Bedroom
Necklace: Paper Courture, Amethyst Nest Necklace

I mean this statement in a nice so please don’t think im being offensive but I agree with a statement I heard once describing curios skins as “having the face on an angel and the body of a whore”. All that’s meant by that’s is the innocent faces matched with a body of a woman are very striking and a reason why this skin seems to popular today. Curios selections of makeups never fails to excite and i really ned to go check out the newest ones she dropped a few days ago!

Blog Blowpop

Blowpop:
Ava N2 tone a Kitty Kitty 1
Eyes and lashes as before
Hair: Raspberry Aristocrat, Adora Hair Breezy Whites
Necklace: Luc, Gaea Necklace, Quartz/Lucite

This is ones of Blowpops new releases after a brief stint as a brand infinity Annyka has switched back. Theres a quality that comes with Blowpop skins that’s unmistakable there never over saturated and they always give avatars this ethereal look. Ava is no different, the nose area is what really impresses me it just looks do delicate I can help but fall in love with this skin at first sight. Along with Ava Blowpop has a series of new faces and something for everyone.

Blog Loveys
Loveys:
Loveys: Honey, Bubblegum
Hair: Lamb, Dog Roses in Granny

TIMEWARP. Were going old school I know but this was one of my die hard “I’m glued into the pixels” skins. Viewing it now it looks oddly flat but I still thing the eyes have an enchanting quality. This makeup is still one of my favourite in Sl and I’ve struggled to find a duplicate on other skins (cough cough). Im so sad she never released anymore skins and if she ever comes back to SL ill be first in line for them.
Blog Lelutka
LeLutka:
London Revolution Pale 8b
Eyes and Lashes as before
Hair: Truth, Romy Silver
Necklace: LaGyo, Onyx Necklace silver
Headband: Miril, AM Tulip Champagne

Another of the skins iv spent a lot of time glued in. This line has one of the biggest variety’s makeup wise and that’s what keeps me going back to LeLutka for more. I always feel glamorous in them and kind of like a grown-up in disguise. I’m eagerly awaiting the new skin to be release with the summer line!

blog Fleur

Fleur:
Fleur/Tap Vivant Almond Cercle 1
Eyes and Lashes as before
Hair: Lamb, Unbirthday in Granny
Necklace: Atelier AM, Volume Necklace in Black

The last of the pixel glue trio. Also another blast from the past. I loved this line of skins by far the most in fact I even had a style named after me for the skin stalkidge poor Ros and CJ received. The makeup’s they had were amazing, and the price meant I bought pretty much every style.Im really excited about the new skins coming out soon that Roslin has been teasing us with on her plurk stream!
