30 Days of Skin: Day 7: Celestial Studios Vogue

cs_full.jpg

Starley Thereian is highly regarded by many as one of SL’s premier skin makers. Using a combination of photo sourcing for body parts and meticulously painted on features such as makeup and beauty marks, the Vogue skins first debuted January 1st of 2007 and while they are now over 2 years old, unlike so many things in SL (like some relationships) they only get better with age.

The Vogue is my first love, and honestly has stuck with me much longer than any of my past adorations. I love the eyes, the lips, the small delicate beauty mark under the left eye and the body is quite lovely.

Starley put a lot of attention to detail with this skin, and I’d hate to think of newer SL residents not having a chance to demo these skins because to some of us they aren’t the “newest” skin out there.

Vogue skins come in so many makeup choices, and don’t forget the freckle option. I selected 9 of my personal favorites, and I’m somewhat scared to admit that I think I own every make-up combination in the cashmere skin tone.

Vogue is available in 5 skin tones with over 60 makeups per tone. This is the first real skin I bought in SL, and it was the best L’s spent based on longevity, quality, and just the way it makes my heart happy to wear.  If you haven’t already, visit Celestial Studios InWorld.

  1. I’m glad to see you guys aren’t neglecting some of the older lines. As a skin maker, I pay more attention to the technical execution of a skin than the style and I’ve always had great respect for Starley’s work. She is still one of the more meticulous skin makers out there.

  2. I remember the first skins Starley made back in the day and she’s always been ahead of the game. Her skins are marvelous…I’ve still got my fingers and toes crossed that she comes out with new ones soon!

  3. Vogue skins were my very first skins and, although I own MANY skins now, as a model, Vogue remains in my top three. Unlike the author who stuck to the cashmere, I dabbled in several shades with 2-3 makeups in each. These skins NEVER fail me. I LOVE them!

  4. Agreed Roslin, very meticulous and I love her for it.

Jolie, you and me both, when the skins with the Halloween collaborations came out this fall I snatched them up like an addict…ok I am..I’ll admit it!

Laila: you are so right…these skins never fail..imho
