Tres Very has some new releases! All make-ups are available in each skin tone, which are cocoa, dark, tan, light and pale. I was offered a nice sampling of all shades, but I chose to use the “light” shade for my pictures.

Picture one contains Blacklight Special, Blacklight Special (blue) and Razor’s Edge. The Blacklight Special make ups consist of thicker eye shadow and lighter lips, with the blue version containg blue eyeshadow, and the regualr version has purple undertones. Razor’s Edge has a deeper red lip, with a nice multicolor, dark eye.

In picture two, you can find Blinded By Cupid, Lotus Breeze, Lotus Breeze 2, and Royal Sin. Blinded By Cupid is a nice mix of deep reds. The eye is unique as it has an intricate design extending from the inner corner. You can choose to have it in both eyes, one eyes, or not at all. Lotus Breeze and Lotus Breeze 2 each have the same nice, shiny eye, but you can choose from a tone down pink, or a bright, rich pink for the lip. Royal Sin is a dark look featuring a very heavy, almost paint splattered eye and a deep, royal purple lip.

What is CAPTURED?
CAPTURED is a photography book with 5 main chapters of ART, BEAUTY, DESIGN, FASHION, and LIFESTLYE. The book is seasonal and only comes out 4 times a year.ART: Showcase of SL Photographers
BEAUTY: Showcase of SL skin, shape, hair and eye creators.
DESIGN: Showcase of furniture, architecture design, cars, shoes, purses, anything PRIM based.
FASHION: Showcase of clothing designers.
LIFESTLYE: Showcase of SIMs, beaches, clubs. shopping centers, things to “do” in SL.

As long as high quality RL editorial concept spreads there are articles throughout the book about several creators and SL topics.

CAPTURED Photography Book is AD free.

Only 250 pages per issue. Each issue is first come first serve basis. (pages fill fast)

Each Featured Creator has a 3 page spread minimum. Which is all photographed and produced by the Breiz Creative Concept team.

Each issue has a Trade Show as the release of the book that consists of several fashion shows throughout the event and display shops for each featured creator to showcase and sell their items. The event is 12 hours long and on a private full prim SIM that will only be revealed the day before to invited RSVP guest only. This issue’s show begins Saturday, 9/27 at 12 noon. Applications are accepted for new creators the month of the prior books released.

WELCOME TO FASHIONISTA ISLAND!! Fashionista Island is a new sim dedicated to fashion and the arts on SL. The grand opening celebration begins this weekend, Saturday September 27 at 12noon SLT. http://slurl.com/secondlife/fashionista/132/128/22/

Impressione Brings the Excitement of Milan’s Fashion Week to Second Life and Raises Awareness for Healthy Living with the “Weekend of Beauty”The WoB events begin on Friday, September 26th, 2008 and conclude on Sunday, September 28th, 2008. This 72-hour event runs concurrently with Milan Fashion Week and and to benefit a good cause, The National Eating Disorder Foundation. The event focuses on health and beauty in all shapes and sizes all over the world, as well as celebrating diversity in fashion, art, and music.

In the spirit of Milan Fashion Week, there are two runway shows and a sim-wide treasure hunt. The first show, World Beauty will be on Saturday at 12 noon. World Beauty presents a look at what beauty means throughout different cultures all over the planet. Models will represent the people of this world in all their wonderful shapes, sizes, colors and clothing traditions.

The second show, Natural Beauty, is a competition amongst the finalists in their second round. Impressione seeks to celebrate and showcase this diversity through the competition. The winner will receive over 25,000L in cash and other valuable prizes. Contestants will be judged by a celebrity panel for both their SL/RL styles and their personal statements of what Natural Beauty means to them. Natural Beauty will be on Sunday at 3pm.

WoB will include onsite vendors for purchasing the runway items featured in our World Beauty show, info/donation kiosks for NEDA, a variety of live and streamed music by SL djs and musicians, an art show, treasure hunt and plenty of places to wander and enjoy the view.

Sometimes in Second Life great fashion walks right into your viewer. That happened to me the other night when I was one of the horde descending on the brand new Maitreya Island build. I spotted Malt designer Khea Karas walking in her brand new Roxy outfit. It was all done up in hot pink (I’m wearing it in blue below) so it caught my attention immediately.

Khea is fairly new to designing in Second Life, but has been a professional graphic artist in her real life for a while. The skill she brings to her Second Life clothing shows the attention to detail and the facilities with digital editing software that you’d expect from a professional designer. I was thrilled to show contributor Lux Yao (formerly of [Amaretto]) designs from Malt because they seemed to share a common design aesthetic. (I also find Malt reminiscent of Kat Palmer’s Immortelle design style too.)

I was delighted to try on several Malt designs and although the shop is pretty recent, there’s a good range of outfits from swimwear to denim to dresses, even a smattering of accessories. You can see most of the releases so far by visiting Malt’s blog or Flickr stream.

Hardwood floors, granite walls, a large opening in the ceiling and vines here & there, giving this place a “hidden jungle palace” kind of feel. Prices are very reasonable and the shop owner. Zullay Thor, is extremely friendly and helpful. She offers a couple of great high quality freebies, one gown and a skin pack. Skin? Yes she sells skin too! And hair, and hats. I also noticed resizing scripts in select items, and most clothing is available on all layers. First up I am wearing Mermaid – Sea from the Ethereal collection. Hand painted scales in deep shades of green flow over my lower half, finishing in a fantastical mermaid corset. I chose MMS – Zero – Light 6a, PE Tamora – Coffee (lucky chair win!), Detour Nails – Lacquer – Vamp, JCNY H&M Celeste Diamond Ring, Miriel Realistic Eyes – Blue Opal and Detour Faded Lashes. I am wearing all of the above in following photos, except where noted.

Next, I want to show you a couple from the Poet Collection. Jane – Peach is a classy, sleeveless gown with the skirt is available in a one piece fuller style, or a two piece lower style. Hat sold separately. I chose Detour Writer – Java hair and Maitreya Verve – Brown pumps.

This is Callipoe Suit and Hat – Plum from the Poet Collection. The hat sold separately, as Zullay feels you shouldn’t be forced to pay for part if an outfit you don’t want, or buy a whole outfit just for the hat. Calliope is a dashing women’s suit with lovely lace neck ruffles, lace sleeve cuffs and flared lace pant hems. The pants stop just below the knee, This ensamble comes with gloves and stockings to ensure your professional look. I went with Bax Cohen Black Suede Ankle boots for my foot wear.

Finally, my favorite collection, Glamour. Leading the pack is my personal favorite, The Glamour Collection Coat – Red Brick. This sophisticated coat is perfect for the upcoming fall evenings. The flipped up prim collar and sassy coat skirt are the perfect pieces for this creation. Sylfie’s “Hope” Balck/Red Stilettos and Last Call Ingrid pants bring this look together beautifully.
Next we have Olympia – Rosey. This is a sexy little number crafted of fine satin. A hot and spicy black belt cinches the dress right below the bosom. I paired Maitreya Verve – Brown pumps with this dress.
The third dress in this picture is Leto – Blue/Grey. Leto is a sweet mini dress with an adorable halter top and form fitting leggings that scrunch at the bottom. The gold chain belt is armed with a resizing script for easy fitting! I thought Sylfie’s “Rhodes” Silver/Royal Stilettos went perfectly with this look
These last outfit closing us up today is Athena – Turquoise. Athena is a flirty halter top dress. A cute pattern graces the bandeau of dress, while a simple pattern flows in layers over the thighs. Matched with *I.O.* Coquette Noir Swank II: Gold, this makes a cute and sexy statement.
