Skinkie-Style::Chocolate Bombshell

It’s rare that you’ll see me without my trademark platinum blonde locks, but an outfit I put together this week just cried out for some chocolatey goodness of the wigged variety.
OK, so I ended up with espresso rather than chocolate, but no matter, it still gives a good buzz.

Love the dresses at <3 Cupcakes. They are like little, feminine, cupcakes. Thanks for the tip.
Posted by: Abby Bloxome on February 23rd, 2008 at 1:22 pmWhile your photography is well done, the lack of contrast make it difficult to discern the details of your hair and the dress. In addition, it appears you may have taken these pictures on the “night” setting, which reduced the details further. Better lighting and a higher contrast background would help these photos a great deal, in my opinion. It would also be nice if this was more of a review (ie, the good and bad points of what you are wearing) than simply a catalog of the outfit.
Other than those minor critiques, the fashion choices are lovely. Thank you for a look at some items I had not seen before.

However, the low lighting and dark background were not mistakes, they were choices, as it helped set the mood I was after. My apologies if you don’t like that. When I manage to please all of the people all of the time I’ll let you in on the secret ;-)
Regarding the contents of the post, this was not intended per se as a review column. If you want reviews there are plenty to pick from, from people far more qualified to do that than me. The way I see my column is as a place to show you how to combine items to great effect, perhaps combinations or sources you hadn’t considered before, incorporating details that make a “finished look”, not just a piece of clothing on an avatar. I will, and have, asked for “review” items from specific sources but perhaps I should call them “featured items” more correctly as I don’t wish to go down the line of critiquing every misplaced pixel.
Thank you though for taking the time to make these suggestions, it’s good to get some feedback :-)
