Reader Style and a Happy New Year

Welcome everybody to a new year of fashion fun over at Second Style. *Grins* Being the European early bird, I am kinda pleased that I am posting the very first one of the year. And nothing nicer than starting off with a great new photo from the Reader Style panel.
This week’s pick is a photo by Nicole Bourne, a regular contributor to the stream. Thank you Nicole for sharing your looks with us. She took this one at Saeya Nyanda’s incredible black and white sim Silent.

Hope you all don’t think this is a photoshopped picture, made black and white….i took this in world at a great new sim, Kyoot Army’s sim called Silent. Its all black and white and when there it feels like you are in a noir film. anyway onto the clothes!

This outfit combines some of the top releases in 2007. Honey Kitty is a new player on the fashion market and has made a lot of really sweet and highly detailed lolita inspired clothes as well as this blouse which is one of my own favourites. The highwaist pencil skirt from Artilleri was an instant classic when Antonia released it. I stil should pick up the missing colours, but that is one of my New Year’s resolutions. Amelieish from Hiccup is one of the cutest hairstyles I have ever worn and Chai is a very succesful new skin line from Launa Fauna that I keep buying despite the fact that the eyebrows are a nightmare on my avie. Damn you Launa for your exquisite lips!!!
New Reader Style in a forthnight. As you will have noticed I started to write a little more about the items featured in the look. When Nexeus Fatale over at Aspire Blog wrote that he liked me discussing the featured outfits, besides being flattered, I realised that was exactly what I was NOT doing, discussing the outfits. But I love the idea, so thank you Nexeus, I hope you like it even better now that I have decided to add my personal thoughts on the items on the Reader Style pick.
Would you like to see your photo featured on Second Style Fashionista? It’s easy to participate. Here is how:
- Wear something fabulous.
- Take a picture of yourself against a neutral background (or somewhere really cool in SL), and make sure you are the main topic in the photo. A lot of snapshots feature an itsie bitsie avatar against a huge background.
- In the snapshot dialog, one of the buttons reads, “Send an email postcard.” Click that option!
- Send the email to “rs@slpics.com” Please include your outfit notes (i.e., who made the blouse, who made the jeans, etc.) as the message text so we know where you shopped!
Your picture should quickly show up in the Live Panel feed here on the blog!
