Cute as a Button: Tête à Pied’s Boutique Parfait
By Grazia Horwitz | January 7, 2008
A few weeks ago I met Roslin one night and she was wearing the cutest hand painted skin. Turned out she and CJ, over at Tête à Pied, were fiddling around with the idea to add a new line of more special skins, next to their succesful Vivant skin line, and that this skin was going to be the first one to be released.
Parfait, the first skin in the Boutique series, has a fully hand drawn face and has some stronger shading than what you are used to in Tête à Pied skins. CJ and Roslin moved away a bit from the realistic Vivant look. It’s not often that I decide to do this, but Parfait is so cute that I decided to give her her own, a bit plumper shape, that matches the creaminess of the skin. The contrast in the body shading is upped a bit and to my great joy this has brought back the hint of dimples on the lower back. I love them and I think they are such a sexy feature on a female body. The rest of the body is just … creamy… yeah, like a good parfait.. but not as cold and with a subtle definition on the abdomen.
The skin comes in 3 skin tones and 6 make ups and they are quite different from what you know from Tête. They have fairly unique features, from the highlight on the nose and the subtle birthmark on the right cheek to the incredibly welldone painted eyelashes. Ladies… do yourself and the creators a favour… do not ruin this look with prim lashes and zero the system lashes down because these are just perfect with the look. Was I pleasantly surprised with the freckles on the Vivant Rose skin, the freckles of make up 2 (shown in strawberry skin tone) are amazingly cute, as well are the distinct asian features of number 5 (shown in the middle in Vanilla). I think that my personal favorite is the flushed cheeks of make up number 3, shon to the upper right in Toffee (gotta love it… it’s toffee).
The hair is Hiccup’s Amelieish in black and the undies are from Edelweiss.
PS. If you like the shape Parfait is in, send me a notecard with Parfait shape and your full name in the subject and I’ll be happy to send you one. Mod/copy. For free. New Year’s present.

I love these skins, but I wish the nostrils weren’t so black :/ Just makes the skin not worth 1.2k a piece.
