Vive Le Zoo!

It sort of feels like this day has taken forever - the better part of a year at least. Le Zoo is a commercial oriented shopping sim, but with a twist. It’s a thematic place to wander around with plenty of great places to take photos. There are lions, tigers and bears (oh my!) of course, and also rhinos, kangaroos, elephants, sharks with frickin’ lasers on their foreheads and a really creepy bat cave! Plushy lions and pandas are in the Le Zoo gift shop (for free) and you can borrow a Zoomobile to scoot around to all of the animal exhibits.
From the day I heard about the idea I wanted to place the Second Style headquarters in Le Zoo. Over the summer, Carricre Wind built one of the most incredible buildings I’ve seen in Second Life — our new headquarters building. Right now it’s set up to host the Spotlight II fashion show on December 8, 2007 (6pm SLT). But you can also get in-world back issues, put yourself on the cover of Second Style with my “do-it-yourself” Second Style cover photo booth, and eventually I’ll have a designated spot to host fashion show and fashion event announcements from organizations around the grid, an in-world spot to keep up with the latest fashion event scheduling.
Make sure you also get a set of great free items we’re offering at the HQ building: a beautiful gown by DeFleur, a shape and two pairs of eyes from The Body Politik, a yoga outfit by TART, hair by Calla and Gurl6, a pair of black heels by ZHAO Shoes, a cute hand-drawn denim top and jeans by Tres Blah, a necklace and pair of earrings by Juicy, and a sweater, top and denim outfit by Rosemary Galbraith. For my own part, I’ve included a pre-loaded, fully configured ZHAO-II animation override and a mod/copy shape that I made recently.
But a lot of the other vendors at Le Zoo are also offering special sales, excellent freebies and other goodies during this grand opening event.
