One Year Ago….

By Grazia Horwitz | December 2, 2007

I wrote my first post for Second Style Blog. OK… a year and a day really, but time flies when you are having fun , and it has been fun this year. I would like to thank all of you for your support, your feedback and the heads up for many a wonderful new shop/design.

ALCHEMY_001.jpgHaving said that, back to day to day business… FASHION!!!!! A couple of weeks ago while shopping, I spotted a lovely avatar, Constanza Volare, with a dress that was very appealing to me. Turned out  she is the designer of Alchemy, and the dress she was wearing, an unreleased design of her hand. She told me it might be a while before she would be able to release it, but she is about to do so today… tonight really. And she surprised me by sending it to me, together with a pair of very subtle stiletto heels that Isobel DeSantis designed to match them. So this Navy dress; I love the red bow, it is so detailed on the back, looks lovely. And the skirt comes in two versions, with and without lace. But also with and without sit script (great development in SL fashion). Movement on the flexie is great, and over all it is just the casual retro elegance that I like very much in a dress.

The hair in this photo is Secret in smoke by Abyss, the skin is the new Emma skin, ultra smokey pomegranate from Soda in latte.

  3. I absolutely LOVE this page. What a magnificent idea. And wouldn’t it be nice if some of our RL designers had as much vision and creativity as some of our SL designers? :) Would it be possible to join the Second Style Fashionista Team?

  4. Congratulations on the first year *smiles*

Can you use some of your time to a topic about highwaisted pants and tops that meet the pants? Please, pretty please?I HATE those pants that hang down, the naked tummy is so out-of-date. And tigh, wide belts on shirt layer…it’s very hot with “corset belts” and underbusts worn over tops and dresses.

  5. Hehehe, nice challenge.. I might need some time to go through my inventory, because I have quite a few of them, and do some shopping for the latest on the grid (I love my blogging… it is such a justification for my shopping addiction)but I promise… high waisted/no nude belly pant post is in the making.

  6. Thanks, Grazia, I look forward to it! My dream is to have a belt on different layers that could hide that naked belly….I would buy a pack of that in the moment you or another blog it. Like the belt Keira Knightley had in Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End.

  7. [...] Some time ago I promised Marianne a blog post about belly button covering clothing options, so it is high time that I live up to this promise… besides, over at Linden Lifestyles, Salomé has written a plea straight from the heart about EMS (Exposed Midriff Syndrome) and from the Second Style gang I would like to support this plea. Salomé… I am so with you on this one. In the mean time, women who refuse to give in to EMS are required to be creative and cunning users of the possibilities that their inventories offer. And luckily, we do have a number of possibilities [...]
