Versteck

6

Some time ago I saw a nifty piece of machinima on one of the blogs on Fashion World, and at that time I really thought that blogger had the next big thing in her hands. Versteck. Those clothes looked so nice and new on that video. Edgy, urban, but with elegance and femininity. Well done too as far as I could see from the video. Nice (flexi) prim work  and good looking textures. Must have been shortly after this that I went on vacation, and to my big surprise, the blogosphere was not all over this new brand by the time I came back. So time for me to check out, what’s wrong with Versteck….

Versteck.jpgWell… nothing really, I bought a couple of outfits, tried them on, been my usual anal self where it comes to seams and flaws, and honestly, I have not discovered serious issues. The prim work still looks good, and the textures up close, are MORE than just good looking. There is some alpha interference, but other than not using alpha channels and .tga’s there is not much that you can do about that huh? It’s not that your skirt disappears when you look at it from a certain angle. On the contrary…. I liked what I saw very much. Hope you like it too. To the left on the photo there is the sunny Junknitz dress, a short sunflower yellow babydoll with the cutest leggings to go with them. In the middle there is my favourite, Water. All those different shades of blue with the contrasting yellow and gold tones, it is as easily combined with a pair of heavy duty boots for the kick ass look, as with some stilettos and jewelry for a more boho chique style. To the right you see Prairie which is just a lovely dress in warm natural colours. I love the green that designer Cristina Elvehjem came up with.

So… what’s wrong with Versteck? Nothing really, or it should be that you are not interested in well made, good looking clothes that are affordable too. Al dresses at Versteck are priced at L$ 100 only and there are some cute tees for as little as L$10!

Skin with all 3 outfits is the new limited Octobre 2 in Buff from Tete à Pied. The hair is from Truth Hawks. Pearly to match Junknitz, Sunday for Water and Toni Tail for Prairie

I love Versteck and am so glad to see them getting some blogosphere recognition. I stumbled upon the shop one day while wandering… a LM here a LM there and … there it was. I’m looking forward to more great things from this designer.

Thank you for sharing your discovery!
