I spent most of the day wrestling with the email software called Dada Mail. It seems to be operable now, so I made two lists. One of them is Second Style News related — here I will send announcements via email when we publish new magazines, new podcasts, new contests, fashion events in Second Life and so on.
The second email list was a result of my frustration at trying to track down a central resource to “get the word out” about SL fashion press releases. So I set up a list to send email to anyone who wants to subscribe to the list (alternately, you can also subscribe to the message archive RSS feed without giving your email address.) This list is (very lightly) moderated (by me) to stop spam and off topic emails from being sent. Plaintext or HTML press release copy can be sent to sl-fashionpr-submit@lists.secondstyle.com for approval.
