Sexy in Pink

By Celebrity Trollop | October 3, 2007

Snapshot_009.jpgThis outfit has brought me several compliments over the past couple days and I am happy to tell you that not only does it look perfect for the earthy autumn color palette, but it’s also extremely affordable. The name of it is “Autumn Girl” by Sexy in Pink designer Kirsten Corleone. Kirsten has a wide-ranging line of clothing from super skimpy to full ball gown formal wear. Now I don’t normally go too “head-over-heels” for photosourced clothing, but sometimes when it’s just right, it’s just right. This is one of those outfits that I really, really admire from the texturing on the skirt, to the flexi-prim ties on the drawn on skirt belt.

I finished off this outfit with the braided jewelry and Tuesday necklace from Shiny Things (slurl), Deliliah shoes in brown by Zhao (slurl), Curious Cap, brown, by LF Designs (slurl), skin by Tete a Pied, hair by ETD.

Snapshot_007.jpgKirsten also offers a line of men’s clothing and this top is one of those. Named “Rockabilly Blues” it’s a western design shirt which is intended for guys, but it looks pretty fabulous on female avatars too. It comes in a long jacket layer version, or this shorter cropped shirt layer version. Sometimes I’ve found I need to modify jacket-layer clothing intended for men, but the shirt layer version I’m wearing here is just perfect. This is just one design of the four that she released recently which are sold as two 2-packs. Aside from Rockabilly blues the “Deadwood” pack also includes another slightly plainer red/black western style shirt called “Wyatt,” a pair of jeans (sized for guys) and a prim straw hat with a band of conchos.

I didn’t like the way the included jeans fit, so I opted instead to show off the “Gold” jeans (available in a variety of different color/washes, shown in Charcoal) by Chloris Hathor of GLAM Fashions (slurl). Chloris has recently released a large collection of very stylish “fresh-off-the-runway” gowns and dresses. But before that, she was — for my Lindens — the queen of denim on Second Life. One of the neat things Chloris came up with was an add-on pack for the Gold jeans which let you add pocket embellishments and a very broad selection of belts to the denim underneath. The way this works is you wear the jeans on the underwear layer (just the thing to tuck your denim into boots, by the way) and then put the add-on texture on the pant layer. It’s the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup of great looking jeans in Second Life. Jewelry by Digital Adornments, boots by ZVZ Ultra Designs, hair by ETD, skin by Tete a Pied.

  2. Thanks for reviewing Sexy in Pink! Went there with a friend last night, and all I can say is *my* linden balance is a bit smaller! :) Great clothes, and Kirsten, the owner was there, and willing to demo any outfit you weren’t sure about, modeling them quite nicely!
