Factory Girl
By Celebrity Trollop | October 5, 2007
A few weeks ago I saw the Edie Sedgwick film biopic Factory Girl, which starred Sienna Miller (who knew she could act?!) as the eponymous protagonist of the film. Ms. Sedgwick was well before my time, but the whole late 60s Andy Warhol art scene has always held a certain fascination and certainly was an epicenter of plenty of transitional fashion trends from the 60s into the 70s.
Imagine my delight as I spied the “Factory” release by Marleen Vaughan, consisting of the “Rhianna’s Retribution” outfit (shown in silver, also available in gold) and not one, but four period hairstyles (Laini’s Recital shown) in Marly’s five standard colors, plus — new for this release — the iconic silver hair color. So crank up some Velvet Underground, and head over to Marly’s in Envy (148, 98, 515) and check out the retro-fabulous vintage.
You may not be a fashion icon afterward, but you’ll look like one. (I am amused to note that Marleen has also thoughtfully provided ‘junkie’s syringe’ with each outfit.) Skin by Tete a Pied, shoes by Maitreya.

I don’t get the appeal, this looks pretty bad from the pic.

Yes, the design is more unconventional. it’s like those people that need a pretty little landscape to fill their bathrooms and make them complete. Versus, people who don’t put anything on the wall except a Mark Rothko. Personally, landscapes are trite, boring, overplayed and have no emotional value what so ever. Mark Rothko, on the other hand, has some fucking balls.
so thanks! I love being “pretty bad”. it means I am doing something right.
Cheers!
