Alchemy

I recently found another “new-to-me” clothing brand in Second Life called Alchemy, run by designer Constanza Volare. Constanza’s designs focus mostly on dresses which range from formal to more casual — but dressed up casual, and certainly very visually appealing. On the right is the Poem gown (shown in “inspiring” available in many other colors), and on the left is Starburst (shown in “aeryn” also available in other colors.) Looking across all of the dress skirts in the Alchemy line, they’re vibrant and bold with lots of satiny highlighting whether shown long as in poem, or in a shorter more casual length as in the dress below called Eclipse. I also really like the play of color details on the hem of Poem and the way that Constanza’s extended the star motif onto the underskirting by careful use of alpha layers in Starburst. The new Eclipse dress (shown in “water”, available in many other shades) comes in two skirt lengths — and I am really loving the details on the tiered skirts including the flouncy flower petal strewn underskirt that just peeks out and is reinforced by a band traveling up and over the bodice of the gown. To the right is my favorite dress by Alchemy called Silver Dream — there are other “dream” colors too — all of them in shiny metallic finishes, including as you might guess “gold dream.” It’s such a dramatic design style — with the cross crossing ribbons of sequins and the halter style top it’s sexy and stylish which always makes a great combination. I have to also point out the beautiful headpiece Eolande Elvehjem created for the ETD Sofia hair. Sofia is — by itself — plenty dramatic enough. But with the headpiece (which has a built in gemstone color changing script) and matching jewelry pieces it’s like turning the drama on Sofia up to 11. (Visit Eolande’s store on Ohana Isle.)
