Nicky Ree

Another designer who’s been very busy in June is Nicky Ree. Nicky released this super cute and versatile swimwear, skirt, pantsuit set — Nadia — shown on the left. Nicky even found time to take Nadia and turn it into a gypsy style skirt and top! Now that’s flexibility. Shown right is one of my favorite dresses of the summer season (so far) in Summer Breeze. Summer Breeze comes with several different skirting options, including an empire waist and one that’s a touch shorter and lower on the torso. The color families here are just such a refreshing burst of color, and the skirting and ruching on the fabric texture is really top notch quality.
But there’s been a lot more she’s been working on recently, including the Face of Asia model contest, a stunning collaboration with jewelry designer Random Calliope in the Wish gown, plus another line of dresses with a bodice which can be worn with the full prim skirting if you wish, or paired up with a matching pair of denim jeans called Odette.
n fact, so much has been going on that Nicky is the featured designer at an Aspire fashion show tomorrow, July 1 at noon SLT. Also showing new works will be Random Calliope, the hair duo of Calla and the last 3 finalists of the Aspire Model Search Competition. I ended up missing this and it was so sad :( Nicky does INCREDIBLE work and I wanted to see Random’s jewelry too :)
