Fashion for the Bride from Simone!

As I was watching the gorgeous wedding gowns parade down the stage, a 
friend IM’d me to ask about the show. “Great show, but I’m getting all marriagey,” I sniveled. I don’t feel bad, though, as The White Lace Wedding Fashion Show from Simone! today would even turn the hardest hearts to thoughts of planning a wedding. Big silk, ivory and lace flexi gowns were the order of the day, and I was impressed by everything I saw.
Today’s show featured wedding gowns exclusively, many of which featured tiaras by Adorned which Simone Stern worked into her design as jeweled accessories and a nifty place to hang tasteful veils. As you can see in the picture at left, from the delicate lace veil and the intricate detail on the back of the gown called Frou Frou Fabu, Simone outdid herself with some of these designs. The gowns each sell for L $550 and come with underthings. Most also come with a custom matched veil/tiara. (The tiaras without the veils are available from Adorned).
All of the models wore hair by Calla designs chosen especially for each gown. In the picture to the left, Cordi Biddle models Rhapsody, showing the elegance and detail that was the hallmark of the whole production. I liked all of the gowns I saw, especially one called Petals which featured some exquisite flowers intertwined with its veil, and one called Vivre, which looked the least like a wedding dress of the lot, (which may be why this single Fashionista took to it).
The Wedding Dress Fashion Show by Simone! was a lot of fun and showed off Simone’s ability to integrate a lot of fine detail into her designs without overwhelming the pieces. I also hope this is the beginning of more collaboration like this between talented desginers like those we saw today with Adorned, Calla, and Simone!
