Bloody Mary Anyone?
By Grazia Horwitz | July 2, 2007
Could have written something about the ferocious and fascinating female pirate “bloody”Mary that I named this post after, truth is, last week has been hectic…. RL business and the blog being moved, I didn’t get the chance to do much. Ad SL being a total pain for taking photos. So I’m glad that I am back to posting at all. And there are so many new releases recently, really, everyone is working their stylish asses off to entertain the fashionista community and keep us all happy and satisfied. Nephilaine has released an utterly adorable collection of clothes that are definitely pirate inspired. And since I am having a hard time ignoring any of Neph’s releases, whether I have time to write or not, I went over to Pixeldolls in Port Seraphine and picked them up.
They are all stunningly textured dresses and tops that easily mix ‘n match. It’s almost a shame to “just” wear the dress. In the pictures from left to right I’m wearing combinations from the Bonney, Drifter and Marzipan outfits. Combined with the awesome velvet sculpted hat that is also for sale at Pixeldolls. I love the lace on Bonney’s top, the layered look on Drifter and the rich deep colours of Marzipan. They all come in tons of layers to be used at your own discretion. The photos where shot at the Black Sparrow, an awesome pirate ship that is still under construction but already very impressive to visit. When it is finished, the owner plans to have copies on sale…. it might make a great home for an adventurous buccaneer. Considering this ship is really the first serious attemt of the builder, I think we have something special here.
The hair is ETD’s Sea Nymph II in Abyss, the skin Tête à Pied Sophisticate 3 in Bronzage Medium, the boots are Enkything, Pinson Black and the jewelry is Miriel Enfields lovely Cross Your Heart set.
