You Need Some Pink
By Grazia Horwitz | June 1, 2007
Can it be that I have been in world since last September and never knew of the wonderful gowns of Pinkdiamond Pee? I should shop more I think…. It wasn’t til a couple of weeks ago that Charity Colville, the ever charming and total formal addict hostess of Phat Cat’s, alerted me on a new freebie gown available at their sim that I heard of this designer.
I went to check out immediately after, but as usual, it did take me some time before I got to blog it. Pink has some awesome formals out there, as well as a fairly broad collection of wedding gowns, every single one of them looking just lovely. However, I’ll leave the wedding gown frenzy for the long awaited new issue of Second Style Magazine and will share two of her fabulous formals with you.
First there is the amazing So Tender gown. With it’s assymetrical gown and laced up bodice, it is a perfect, stylish, not too formal occasion gown in which you will always look stunning. I picked the gray one, but it comes in a number of colours. That is, the gown is black, but the colours of the flowers on the bodice vary. The skirt is not modifiable, so I had to wear my dress shape for this one, as Pink has obvioulsy a more slender figure than I have. But it’s a little sacrifice I was more than willing to make. Sometimes it is better anyway to tweak your shape to match the outfits of your favourite designers than to start adjusting single prims for a better fit. I have shapes in my inventory now for almost all the designers that I wear.
The other gown is the Century of Love in gold. I love the gold sequins on the cream coloured texture. Wear this gown without the prim skirt and you have a totally lovely sleek dress. Adding the skirt however, the gown transforms into a truly grand outfit, ready to make an entrance anywhere. This skirt I could adjust a little as for me it was a bit long and the lovely skirt hem risked dissapearing in the floor. But once I did… well… I think it’s just smashing.
The hair I wear in these photos is Deviant Kitties’Annette in black, the skin is Tête à Pied’s sophisticate 3 in bronzage medium. The pearls, I found them at Love Lace. The fishnet stockings in the first photos come from Last Call’s Padma outfit, and the shoes are the Satin Slingbacks in black from the new Tête à Pied clothing line.

After looking at the gown in the picture you provided, I went to look at and bought the gown…I didn’t *need* it, but I bought it. But the skirt colour doesn’t match up with the bodice :( Ah well, chalk it up to a lesson learned.

Posted by: Jaydie Sapeur on June 1st, 2007 at 10:04 amOh my god, now I have to get new shapes to go with my new clothes? I just did a breast reduction to go with the flapper-esque dress I bought last week,. I guess i am moving upwards in the fashionista progression towards somplete submission to the fashion gods. And to think in RL I rotate the same five Eddie Bauer wrinkle free blouses.
