I don’t go that often to Picasso where Nonna Hedges has her awesome shop Details, don’t know why, probably because it is always hard to contain myself when I do and have financial suicidal tendencies, since I want to have everything. But yesterday I allowed myself a spree at Details and it is always so worth the while.
With the Audrey Hepbrun contest on Second Style still freshly in mind, I just had to buy this Chantilly Noir outfit. It is New Look at it’s best with a wide flexi skirt, a high neckline that indeed remind me very much of the things Audrey Hepburn would wear, and a very low back to compensate for the chaste front look. The thing that totally spices up this outfit is the fact that it is all lace. Whenever I am at Nonna’s shop I am always asking myself, dare I wear this? Is it chique, or is it scandalously daring to cover yourself in just lace? I always wonder what would have a bigger effect, showing up somewhere butt naked, or dressed in one of Nonna’s lacies. I think Nonna is totally classy with her lace dresses and gowns though and any comments on you showing up in something like this will be remarks of awe and admiration.
Second there is this outfit that reminds me of Moulin Rouge, again lace all over. The bodice has a decolleté so low that you’ll want to check twice if your breasts are covered enough and the back leaves a lot of your skin bare too. This is actually a lovely piece of lingerie. The sheerest assymetrical skirt covers the corset and the flexi is totally good on this. The dress comes with two prim sleeves options, with and without straps. I have the strapped sleeves on in this photo. Furthermore there are shoes (wearable with or without straps) in the pack as well as a cute matching clutch and, I confess… SL hat hater that I am… the most adorable heart shaped frilly veiled hat that I have ever seen.
“He come through with the money and the garter bags
I let him know we bout that cake straight up the gate uh
We independent women, some mistake us for whores
I’m sayin‘, why spend mine when I can spend yours
Disagree? Well that’s you and I’m sorry” (Moulin Rouge Soundtrack lyrics)
The hair in the upper photo is ETD’s Melrose in Smoke, the skin is Adam ‘n Eve’s Grazia (kissable) and the jewelry is the Claris Pearl choker & earrings from Muse. In the other photo, the hair is Analog Dog C curl in copper (without the bang, because of the hat) and the jewelry is Miriel Efield’s Baublé set in gold.
Seen in world: yes ~ Review copies: no ~ Friends list: yes

I agree with all of this. I found Nonna’s store early on in my adventures and I love her details…and often I think, would showing up *in* this be more naked than showing up naked? :O
But her clothes win out every time. There is a beautiful dress called “Black Beaded Salsa” with a Allya Fatale prim skirt made of feathers that is adorable!
I find that I treat her clothes like my real life…if I wear anything incredibly revealing they will find me dancing at the equivalent of a Hollywood men’s gay club in West Hollywood…so in RL it’s Mickeys and in SL I will be wearing my Nonnas and at Sky twirling in my Black Beaded Salsa.
