I’m going broke with Daphne and Tamara…

There’s been a few regrettably short-lived shopping and fashion focused podcasts over the past year or so, but a brand new shopping podcast just started so I wanted to make sure my fellow SL shoppers know about it.

Based on the first episode, I wish the co-hosts Daphne Abernathy and Tamara Kirshner longevity and success with their new podcast, “Going Broke with Daphne and Tamara.” The premise of GBDT is to highlight and talk with some of Second Life’s content creators and also feature product reviews — not just about traditional fashion items — but also furniture, pre-fabs and whatever else catches the cohost’s fancies.

Episode 1 was just released last week (direct mp3 link, show notes/slurls here) and it features two of my favorite SL personalities, paeoti and HD Pomeray. Paeoti is the creative force behind “Nymphetamine” and HD builds some of the hottest motorcycles to be found anywhere in Second Life.

You can subscribe to Going Broke with your favorite podcast catcher. Mine happens to be iTunes — and happily you can find their podcast feed in iTunes just by typing in the show title. Make sure you give it a listen — it’s a thoroughly fun way to find out more about the people behind all of the wonderful things that are created in Second Life.

  2. It is really interesting to hear the real people behind the stores.
    OK, now when I’m not on 2nd life I’ll be listening to a podcast ABOUT 2nd life while READING Second Style. Oy, well its better for me than TV!
