Bringing in the summer, part 1
By Jaydei Benmergui | May 2, 2007
All around us, little signs of summer are starting to come up. The itty bitty bikinis, for example, that make us spend hours losing body fat and slimming the bellies (alas, for the lack of sliders in RL!) One sign that hasn’t gone unnoticed by me, however, is the abundant use of bright colors and light fabrics.

Being a lover of the bright, unusual, and clever things that SL has to offer, I was going through the FashCon list a week ago and saw this cute-as-all-getout set…and had to check it out. Made by Alla Ruff, the designer of a fairly new store called Veschi, this outfit is composed of a shirt, suspenders on the jacket layer, two types of skirts (a pleated style and a “hoe bag skirt” - no, I’m not insulting it, that’s the actual name!), and prim sleeves.
Unfortunately you cannot wear the skirt without the suspenders, but you CAN switch the provided shirt with another shirt of your choice (I tried it with artilleri’s “heidi” shirt and it looked terrific). Not to say that you would want to change the shirt…the detail on this entire outfit is somewhat impressive, and the style? Whimsical with a touch of skin-baring…love it. Available in 9 colors…some much tamer than lime green, if you’re not in the fruity type of mood.
Bells and Woolens is available at Veschi.
