A Girl Just Gotta Have It, or, The More The Merrier
By Grazia Horwitz | May 8, 2007
I have my hypes… over the last few weeks I was all about skins, this week… omg… jewelry. I just can’t stop admiring these tiny prim wonders and have even been looking up some tutorials because I want to understand how they are made.
Caroline Apollo always makes the cutest things, whether it is the lovely mother & child pendants that are currently in her shop for mother’s day, her Fabergé inspired eggs or, like in this case, this grand Art Deco Emerald set. I’m always happy when I hear she has new things out. The emerald cut stone (it is an emerald stone, but the square cut also goes by that name) in the diamond necklace is just so luxurious. I wear it here with Last Call’s Muse dress from the new Paris Collection (je l’adore), Tete à Pieds Mai skin and hair that I never expected to find where I did… It is called Keira Upswept, and it comes from Sky Designs. Yep a furniture shop, but isn’t this curled updo just delicious?

I had not been to Cailyn Miller’s shop in a while, so when I TP’d over, using my stored landmark, I ended up in someone’s house. I’m so out of the loop sometimes, Cailyn has moved to another sim, already a while ago, so it was high time I went there. When shopping at Cailyn’s I find myself in trouble. I want everything, but everything is a bit over my budget, so often I leave without buying anything at all because of my inability to make a choice. This time however I eyed this truly lovely set of a necklace and earrings. Buy one set, you really get two… one with a sparkle (a sparkle… not bling) and one without. It is called Wedding Belles, and although I have no intention of being a bride, I just love this jewelry. Speaking of brides (to be that is) remember Blaze Columbia is auctioning his one of a kind Hollyhock bridal gown for Relay For Life in June. In this photo I wear the normal Hollyhock gown, also made for RFL, the Tete à Pied Au Naturelle freckled skin and ETD’s Bridget hair in smoke burnt.

Last one in this post is the phenomenal Heirloom locket that Lucas Lameth of Earthtones has created. Scripted for colorchange to match, well, any outfit you have and you can put your own sweet memory photo in it. The one I have is a prototype without that possibility, so I left the adorable photo of Manna & Stephen in it, but it is a great gift for mother’s day or for another special occasion or just to indulge yourself, because, be honest, can a girl have ever enough shinies? Lucas has such a nice offer til May 14th. Buy two of his colorchange sets and get a (non colorchange) locket in the color of your choice for free. I wear the Heirloom locket with Blaze’s Rhapsody gown which has one of the best neck lines in SL and the new Mirani hair from Diversity Hair that I am totally smitten with.
