What Is Going On?

That was my biggest question after I arrived tonight at Tableau to check on Nylon’s and Cory’s new releases… I didn’t make it to their shops though as I ran into the lovely Have Cole in front of the new House of Lu shop. She just walked out of it and I asked her, really more like joking, if anything was going on in there. And ooooh there is…. Ava has been putting out some of her new spring designs and my first impulse was to get them all! Well, since I have some self discipline left, I didn’t but oh my, was I tempted.
I could not resist this lovely pant suit Dahlia which is just delicious. The frills, the painted turquoise necklace, the tight pants…. it’s lovely. The jacket actually comes on the shirt layer and there is a skirt layer bottom part to it. And thank you Ava for making both a shirt and a non shirt version so that you can choose whether to show some abs or not. In this case I don’t mind, but especially when you want to mix and match it with other clothes, that can be so handy.
Nor could I resist this very haute couture gown Gouet. So simple and sober in the design, yet fabulous in the texture.. with the slightest hint of pink towards the hem of the skirt and the sheer fabric covering a very deep cleavage. The flower on top of the high slit is so well drawn and the prim wrap with the lavish ribbon makes this gown regal. I love this gown, especially because with the sleek skirt and the wrap it’s not half the primload of most gowns in SL nowadays, so in crowded places it could mean the difference between just the occasional freezing and chrashing *grins*.
And as you may know by now, I do like running around in men’s clothes every now and then. That’s why I took this outfit home with me too. Spring Ruffle is casual, but with a twist. It could also do for slightly more formal occasions, knowing that some men just loathe suits and don’t even consider wearing a tux. This is a fun way of getting around that. For me, it’s a great casual and I love the white gloves that come with it.
I actually picked up some more things, butI really believe you should go and look for yourselves. What struck me though is that (for now) it’s only Ava’s stuff in there. Okay, we know of Prue’s problem, and that she’s temporarily out of town and Ava told me that Mimi has run off with some man to Paris (heard the name of Lance Armstrong tonight). But where is Mare? And where is Cora? Why didn’t we receive an invitation for an over the top fashion show.. and why is the House of Lu blog not updated….. are they all exhausted from building that new shop and getting the collection ready, or is there more to it? Please ladies, don’t keep us in the dark.. such suspense is unbearable. Can there be more drama in the Lu family? Could that even be possible?
Well.. in the meantime… enjoy what is out on display and look fab in SL.

FYI, I espied Miss Horwitz later on in the evening at Paper Couture. She admittedly bought everything in the new collection and then breezed out of the boutique looking like a young Zsa Zsa Gabor.
