Update [CT]: Caliah’s posted a set of 66 photos from the show on Flickr. You can check them out here.
An update on the Second Convention Fashion show from Caliah Lyon: You are cordially invited to attend the Second Convention Fashion Show on Saturday, March 10, 5-7 PM SLT at Artificial Isle. Twenty-six designers will be showcasing their work, from casual clothing and evening wear to hair, shoes and accessories. Outfits will be shown on three tableau-style stages in several sets for attendees to view at leisure.
There will be outfits and other prizes to be given away at the show and a freebie bag; attendees can also shop at the kiosks on the walkway outside the stadium. A booklet with a profile on each participating designer will be available at the show.
I heard through the grapevine that the Second Convention, an in world meet-up, will be holding a fashion show during the convention on March 3rd at 5pm SLT. Show coordinator Caliah Lyon has put out a call for interested designers to contact her if they would like to participate in the show. Participating designers will be permitted to set up a vendor free of charge as well. All of the fashion show participants will be included in a booklet to be given to show attendees. Caliah has a detailed notecard available which gives more specific particulars, including dates for designating models, submission deadlines and the timeline of events.

Thank you for blogging about this Celebrity
I’ve gotten a very positive response from the community thus far, and am really looking forward to this.
Happy International Women’s Day!
Whoa, What dress is that in the flyer? Gorgeous.
Gah! I can’t remember. I know I’ve blogged about it though. I want to say it’s by Nicky Ree. If you IM Caliah, she can tell you, tho I’m sure.
Ooh, very much looking forward to seeing this event!
hehe yups the gown on the flyer is “Celeste” from my main Nicky Ree stores in Deco and Deimos.
Hi. I’m looking to hold a fashion show event also. Would someone please direct me to the proper venues for posting a call for interested designers?
Sounds like the Second Convention show went well, wish I had found this blog before the event rather than after, it’s the first I heard about the convention. You are so bookmarked now!
The convention flyer is as gorgeous as the gown being modelled on it! Many props to the creators of the show and the marketing materials, very professional!
I’m still learning my way around SL, and this site is a fabulous wealth of information. Thank you!
There’s a couple of different ways you could go about it. One is to distribute notecards to designers describing the show, and so forth.
Another is to post a note in the Second Life forum
http://forum.secondlife.com
with the same details.
Thank you, Celebrity!
