Oh! What A Neat Boutique: Cute Indeed!
By Grazia Horwitz | March 11, 2007
Last night I was over at Artificial Isle to take a peek at the Second Convention which Celeb told you about before. I was late for the show, which, according to the other people there, must have been awesome, but I had the pleasure of finally meeting the lovely Rosemary Galbraight of Oh! What a Neat Boutique. Well, I met some other wonderful persons too, but right now I would like to share some of Rosemary’s latest designs with you.
First there is the inncocent and sweet Debutante dress. I wear it in Maroon, I adore the deep reds, but it comes in 3 more colours: Charcoal, Brown and a very lovely Green. The lace trimming on the neckline is just subtle enough to not make it a daring dress, but on the other hand… the lace on the deep cut back…. it makes this dress one little sexy number. The skirt is a nice find. Not the usual prims on a mesh skirt or pants base, although there are glitch pants in the pack, but it’s an oval prim skirt base with the other prims attached to it. Great find. It gives a certain poofyness to the skirt, without the big butt issue you get when wearing a mesh skirt for a base.
Second we have a cute beaded cocktail dress that Rosemary calls Uber… and that’s what it is.. Uber cute. From the strapless top and the beaded waist piece to the double layered transparent skirt. It comes in a lot of different colours. I saw Rosemary in a smashing red earlier, I picked out the dusky Brown, and there is Blue, Offwhite, Slate and Yellow too. The skirt prims are attached to a puffy waist prim that would kill all RL female figures unless you have a waist Twiggy would be jealous of. But in our little virtual world it’s just so cute and because of the transparency it is a really nice detail to this awsome-for-every-occasion dress.
And then there is this gown, accurately called Overkill. It’s a beauty that comes in 6 splendid colours of which I chose the Dusty Rose (Burgundy, Gold, Green, Grey and Offwhite being the others). It has this awesome ruffle attachment on the neck in the same sparkly texture of the trimmings on the bodice. The low waist gives it a very lean look and make you look taller (although most of us are not short to begin with in SL). And like with the Uber dress, the black prims of the gown are attached to a puffy (hip) prim that gives this gown a very unique and couturelike look. The back is extremely deep, it ends only just above your derričre. Not exposing anything indecent.. but it sure points out your assets. Cute straps go in an inverted V from the back up to the neck.
Last but not least I would like to draw you attention to the eyes. Yes, I changed my forest green eyes from Naughty Design for Aradia Dielli’s recently. She makes the cutest dreamy eyes you have ever seen. And being the windows to your soul, the light in the pupil has the form of a tiny window. Now isn’t that sweet? For now the eyes will only be available in a goodie filled girly kit in Lovey Darling’s skin boutique. But I fell in love with them and think you will do too.
Oh! What a Neat Boutique is located in: Seonggye (82, 92, 601)
In these photos I wear: Gala Sunkissed Earth skin and ETD’s Chignon in Caramel as well as Perfect Image’s Blue Sky eyes.
