Become Miss Second life L’Oreal Paris Glamour, selected by the L’oreal Paris experts of beauty!
Contestants will compete in a beauty pageant March 24, 2007 on ASpiRE! grounds. After the show, a beauty expert of L’Oreal Paris will be present for a question and answer session and to give you some advice on you choices of beauty products!
Contestants will work the L’oreal runway in 3 looks, classy casual, formal, and bikini glamor. Of course, we are not looking for strictly a pretty face! After contestants have modeled their 3 looks they will each come back onto the runway to talk about who they are as people, what they contribute to the SL community and WHY they should be the avvie to represent L’oreal Paris!
The grand prize winner of the SL face of L’oreal 2007 will win a FREE year supply of L’Oreal cosmetics as well as have their avvie displayed to the world at http://www.vip.lorealparis.fr. ASpiRE! Modeling Agency will also award the winner a coveted employment position as an ASpiRE! Model.
To enter:
- Send a high res photo of your avvie to darlingbianca@gmail.com or laurentsavon@gmail.com along with a short biography as to why you should be the SL face of L’Oreal Paris Glamour 2007!
- Entries will be accepted until March 18, 2007 at 12am SL.
20 contestants will then be chosen and added to the “SL Face of L’Oreal 2007″ group. Any questions should be directed to Bianca Darling in world.
Talking a little more with Bianca, here’s some additional information:
- The photos should be at as high a resolution as possible. (The viewer itself can only do to 6000 x 6000 pixels, but to keep the aspect ratio correct, try 6000 x 4500 pixels, or 3000 x 2250 maybe.)
- Bianca only wants JPG files, but you can convert the viewer snapshots to JPG with GIMP, Photoshop, or other graphics utilities — even MS Paint and the Mac Preview utility will convert from BMP to JPG. (The BMPs of a 6000 pixel file is about 100 MB!)
- Ideally the photos will be full body in one of the themes outlined above: classy casual, formal or glamor bikini.
- She said you may submit multiple photos, if you like.
- Note that Gmail will reject any file attachments that are larger than 10MB — if your picture file is too large, you might have to drop the quality on it.
Good luck! What a neat contest.

This is great!
It is great, but it seems weird they don’t have a contest for skin designers as well, since what your face looks like in SL is pretty much dependent on someone else’s skills with making skins and designing makeup for the skins…unless they are basing it solely on shape, in which case how do they know the shape wasn’t purchased from someone? *shrugs* Just saying…
Yes, Yes I am…Thanks for asking!
Seems cool. I may take a stab. Iffen my avie is worthy for such a title, who knows! I guess I can understand the judgments said by Sansarya but if that was the case, I’d think people applying would mention it? I think maybe I’m too trusting about that sorta thing heh.
Swirly will definitely be entering! Sorry ladies, but your chances of winning are now looking very slim.
*smooches*
Swirly
Luckily for other entrants, I cannot enter this as I boycott Nestle, part-owners of L’Oreal, and also avoid Top Ten Vivisectionists for preference.
This comment is brought to you by Miriam being too tired to remember not to rant. xxx
I’ve entered. :-) I think my av has what it takes. I didn’t even know that one could take higher than screen resolution screenshots until I read this post.
Glad it was helpful, CC.
Cheers Crono….. cause she’s worth it hahahaha
Oh Grazia that was hilarious because in my entry one of the reasons I said I should be the Face of L’Oreal was:
“Because I’m Worth It”
I love L’Oreal products, truly.
i like L’Oreal
i like froggies
cool event
OO..well gl to all that enter :)
Do you know if there is another Miss SL face of L’Oreal 2007 event for the French community? http://secondworld.wordpress.com/2007/03/14/loreal-paris-miss-second-life/
This event has different deadlines…
Sweetie, These are different events. One is for Aspire and the one you linked is a Miss SL.
Sounds fun, I’m throwing the proverbial hat in the ring ^-~
