NAILS!!!!!

By Grazia Horwitz | February 11, 2007

TaP_prim_nails.jpgOMG… just a very quick entry to share the good news with you all…. CJ Carnot from Tete à Pied has been working miracles again and has come up with a whole new set of manicures. PRIM manicures, real looking nails in several exceptional colours. They come in 3 different sizes to match the most common hand sizes (and be honest, wouldn’t you want to tweak your hand size a little to fit these beauties) and fit onto a glove nail base that you will have to colour in your skin tone. Now that is a moment of work, choosing the right colour from the colour picker, but once you’ve done that save it and you can use it  over and over again.

TaP_prim_nails_range.jpgAs far as I know, this is as revolutionary as the prim eye lashes that Lynnix came up with some time ago and which has become one of the most popular items in every fashionista’s inventory. Prim nails have been done before, but TaP scripted them so that they won’t interfere with AO’s. According to the information Roslin sent out, this works fine in 99% of the cases. I’ve tried them on and they look fab. Just don’t have the time right now to make some pictures and show them on my hand, so I’m using TaP’s ad this time. One little point of feed back is that I would love to be able to modify the nails and for instance make the pink nail slightly smaller than the rest, but for now these sets are no copy/no mod so that’s just not an option. Upon asking, Roslin explained me that one of the reasons the nails are no mod is the fact that… they are scripted. However…. after I’ve published this… I’ll hurry over to Tete à Pied… because I need more!

Tete à Pied is located in Nouveau 220, 166, 22

  1. It’s nice to see nails this length. For the record though, it’s not brand new to SL. I recall seeing some prim nails like this something like a year ago. I cant remember the name of the store, I think it was called “La Femme” or something like that? Maybe someone else remembers or knows if they’re still around. Also from what I remember, the nails were of the very long variety.

  2. I know danita… HEX has had prim nails for some time too.. but there are 2 things that are nwe about these. First the fact that they come on gloves… only the recent Valentine’s edition over at HEX has that too as far as I’ve discovered, and second I like the scripting…. naughty me tried the HEX demo earlier today when inventories were off limits… and whereas in all the mess the TaP nails stayed on just fine with my DNA AO… the other nails were like flying high up in the air…. so these scripted nails are a SL disaster proof novelty as far as I’m concerned hehehehe

  3. I had probs with my cheap AO, but I finally got around to buying a new one. Then I bought all the nails. I was a naughty, naughty girl!

  4. Hey, thanks for the mention Grazia, I just wanted to point out that we have the ao for the hands on the highest priority possible so it shouldn’t interfere with other AOs but that said, it has been known to so if someone is interested, they really should try on a demo.

  5. I just bought the dark set last night, and I’m very happy with them. My hand size was 42, so I just made them a little smaller and they fit fine now. They are a nice, relatively short length. Money well spent, imo!

  6. This is great, BUT she is not the first one to come out with Prim Nails. Thuglatino Bling over a year ago actually was the first to do prim nails. He had them in several colors and were very very nice. I will have to check hers out I do still have some of Thuglatinos
