Market Research Class, February 10, 2007, 1 pm SLT

There was quite a controversy about a recent marketing research paper about fashion in Second Life published by RL marketing research firm Market Truths. Having read the full report contents — and this is something I need to write more about — I can say there are quite a bit of useful pieces of data in the full report. The two paragraph summary from Reuters just really didn’t do the full report justice.
Anyway, I saw a note on the Business Communicators of Second Life blog that the author of that paper — Pebbles Hannya would be conducting a class about collecting market research within the environment of Second Life.
The topic seemed so popular that a second class was added, because the first class is full.

I gotta say, I was approached by the person who compiled this report, and before you all get carried away, i asked a simple question. ‘How many people were surveyed?’
Answer: 120
Come on!, this deserves NO commentary at all if you call that market research.
