Update: Girls’ Night Out Fashion Show: Tonight at 6 SLT
By Celebrity Trollop | February 5, 2007
Update: Lots and lots of updates about tonight’s fashion show event. First — the event will take place at the convergence of four sims, as documented here. It would probably be wise to plan to be there ahead of the start time. We’ll probably have full sims.
If you cannot get into the event, it will be streamed live to the Internet. Click here to see the simulcast.
Finally, here are some blog posts by the Lu sisters, Cider Starbrook (event organizer), Aspire (the modeling agency), a post by Eureka Dejavu about Simone Stern, and some 3pointD linkage. Heck, even ValleyWag decided to mock the show — so it must be big!
Having spoken with some of the designers, Cider, and some of the models for tonights events I can honestly say they’re all pretty excited about the showcase event. I am too. Hope you can join in!
Cider Starbrook, in world coordinator of the iVillage Girls’ Night Out events sent me a URL to her new blog post to tell me about a fabulous new event she’s planning for a week from tonight, Monday February 5th, 2007, starting at 6pm SLT. Yes, it’s the Girls’ Night Out Fashion Show! One exciting aspect of this event is that will coincide with the start of New York Fashion Week shows — and to be truthful, I’m very curious if any of the fashions that were on display in Europe (slide show link) (by Galliano, Lacroix, or Galtier) earlier in January are going to crossover from the real to the virtual. I know this roster of designers has the talent pull it off — I just wonder if inspiration will strike while looking at some of these amazing real world creations. (That’s one of Christian Lacroix’s haute couture gowns from the Paris show two weeks ago on the right.)
Designs by the ever arch Lu Sisters’ Paper Couture brand, Simone! and Callie Cline will be presented by Aspire Modeling Agency. After the show, the designers will be present to take questions from the audience — and there will be several more top drawer high quality fashion freebies from the featured designers.
