Thank you all for your kind words...Miss Trollop, as I sit here in the Empire State Building starting irritably at the stack of 20 hats or so I have to spec up for Spring '08 (regrettably, that's2008), and listening to the wind battering the windows, I have to think: I'd rather be in SL designing something interesting. Miss Horwitz, you know you are always welcome at our Social Season functions.

For those Mainlanders who would like to join my fellow Caledonians at our upcoming Social Season events, we have a formal ball being hostessedby her Grace of Carntaigh, Gabrielle Riel, in the Duchy of Carntaigh on Friday, February 16th at 8:30 pm slt. The theme is Shakespearean (dress is Elizabethan/Shakespearean or Victorian formal). Please do not hesitate to join us. We have formal hostesses and hosts who will help ensure your comfort with our citizens. We do not regard it as good manners - or good manner - to ignore visitors to our functions, so please do not feel constrained by shyness.

I'll be opening the new Prim & Proper flagship store on Saturday, as Miss Horwitz mentioned, with a tea dance, and lots of fun give-aways. My main sales associate, Miss Coca Colo, will be on hand (meeting her alone is worth the trip! Friendly, helpful, knowledgable, just a delight), and for new residents, we'll have Miss Christensen roaming the store to take your picture for your profile.

Sunday we open "Naughty or Nice? A Victorian Boudoir Show" in Prim & Proper's Great Hall. This promises to be an interesting exhibit of avatar photography shot by Miss Callipygian Christensen, after the style of 'naughty' carte de visites of the 19th century. The show features notable Caledonian woman in various stages of dishabille (It's quite ok, it's for the sake of Art afterall. We weren't just shucking our corsets because well, just because. No, we did it to support ART. Nothing at all prurient about our utter willingness to disrobe and be captured in delecto flagrante.)

Tuesday evening there's a formal masquerade for Mardi Gras in the Caledon Orchard, hostessed by one of our Season's Debutantes, Miss Cornelia Rothschild. There will be, I am assured, beads, and a king cake and masks and any number of wonderful gifts for our guests, in a lovely New Orleans style installation.

For more information about the Caledon Social Season, pick up the events calendar at any Caledon telehub. We look forward to welcoming you to Caledon nation.

With Warmest Regards,

Her Grace, Duchess of Loch Avie

I sincerely wish I could be present when Shenlei opens her new shop next Saturday (1 pm slt), but alas, RL family obligations will keep me away from SL that particular day.
However I wish all Caledonians and other guests the most pleasant afternoon and that 1900 vintage gown Celebrity is wearing indeed makes me faint.... so gorgeous

So glad to have met you Miss Trollop. As you quite rightly say, Caledon is a haven for good manners and politeness.... and some of us really do talk like this ;)

Your Servant Madam,
