Girl’s Night Out… or The Art of Cross Dressing
By Grazia Horwitz | January 3, 2007
Last night I went out with my friend Manna and since we both like shopping a lot, we stopped over at Shai’s to check out her latest releases. However sexy and beautifully made, all four of our eyes went over to the other side of the shop… to the men’s section. I can’t speak for Manna, but I was a huge fan of John Travolta back in the 70’s and all of a sudden we wanted to try that amazing suit on. And so we did and hang out for a while on Shai’s roof terrace. Now Digit has told you already about this suit, so I won’t continue about how wonderful and well done it is, but just look at us… don’t we look fabulous in it? I dare just say… we look better than Mr. Travolta himself in his glory days.
While we where hanging out, we came upon the topic of cross dressing. Why should we limit ourselves to the girly stuff when there are so many awesome men’s outfits available as well that, with a little feminine touch, can look dangerously sexy on a woman. After all, we all occassionally slip in to our loved one’s shirt or sweater on a lazy Sunday and felt great wearing it. Okay, so an idea was born…. This morning I hopped over at Blaze’s and indulged myself with his symphony tux. Classy and timeless on every bloke.. and sooo Yves St. Laurent on a girl! Just add the right skin, a good hairdo and some awesome earrings and you are ready to conduct the whole SL orchestra and then some.
And it’s not just the more formal styles that add to all our clothing possibilities… Jeans and casual shirts are also great. You might want to spice it up a little to make it more feminine, but with the good accesories you’ll be stunning. I went over to House of Zen for these items, shredded jeans and a silk shirt. Now House of Zen is known for great men’s wear and oooooh.. they have like hundred of different ties, but also for the casual look it’s a great place to shop. I met Sasy Scarborough, the shop manager who told me that she wears Zen’s men’s suits all the time. So… all this started out as a joke, and I certainly will not give up on my dresses and skirts, but just every now and then I might take a peek at the Second Man blog to keep updated with the men’s stuff and add some to my inventory.
