Wintertime
By Grazia Horwitz | December 1, 2006
I love wintertime, cuddling up cozy at home, having friends over for dinner, enjoying the company. Good wine and good food. Everybody spending the night because of the blizzard outside… and next day after breakfast going for a walk in a winter wonderland throwing snowballs at eachother and having a good laugh.
I love wintertime in fashion as well, luxurious materials, fine textures, furry sweaters, turtlenecks… Who says that the cold season’s wardrobe should be all about functional clothing… it can be warm AND gorgeous at the same time.
Shai Delacroix from Casa del Shai has recently released in her restyled store some great items for your wardrobe which prepare you for even the coldest days in the season. I came upon a stunning lammy coat with an incredible lifelike suede texture and I couldn’t resist it. It looks great with some nice jeans and boots.
For the not so cold days she has some beautiful belted cashmere sweaters wich will look awsome combined either with some smart pants or a sassy skirt. They come in four different hot colours that are sooo fashionable this winter season.
I welcome the return of the retro trend in SL….. I have seen a lot of very well done items lately that remind you of the fifties and even the forties. Fabrics that look great and are so timeless that they will last your entire second life. Shai has released the nouvelle librarian outfit, which is actually very sexy with the leatherbound tweed tube skirt and the frilly sheer blouse…. why are all those guys studying so hard at the local library????![]()

Just wanted to say, I purchased the Lammy coat and it is the cutest outerwear out there in my humble opinion. =) I pair it with jeans, boots, and a cute scarf & hat and I’m ready to iceskate, shop, or whatever. Definately worth a look!
