Things I Liked in 2006 (I)

The ending of a year always makes me a bit nostalgic for the things that have happened during the year, and sometimes even a bit nervous when I think about all the new things that will happen in the future. With 2006 coming to an end, I thought it would be nice to let you know a little bit more about myself by going through my inventory and showing you some of the things that are my personal favourites. Considering I’m in SL only since mid September I thought that would be an easy thing to do. How wrong…. My inventory has become huge over the last few months and there are so many yummy things in it that making a decision on what to show you was actually quite a job. So I might just dig in my closet another time and show you some more favourites as we approach December 31.
One of my absolute favourites is the Bocaray sundress by Shai Delacroix. I saw it for the first time on a rainy October afternoon and it has enlightened my day. It is a true summer dress in a vivid red fabric with sunny yellows on it. The bracelets are part of the outfit. I like to wear it anytime. With a pair of flip flops to go to the beach, or with some nice high heeled sandals for going to town and do some shopping, having a drink with friends, throwinf some meat on the BBQ or just sit out in the sun and watch the beautiful people do their things in SL. In this picture I wear it with the sunkissed Earth skin form Gala and Naughty’s Angel I in warm sand.
When on more formal business I love this outfit from Pixeldolls, Nephilaine Protagonist has designed a very classy black dress that with the pearl grey jacket just suits every occasion. As we may expect from Nephi the fabrics are magnificent and the pleats in the skirt are so awsome in a tulle like texture.This is one of the outfits that you wear to the office and when after work you go out for a dinner or a date, you just put on some extra lipstick and get rid of the jacket. In this case I wear it with ETD’s Maalyiah and the Alina natural beauty skin by Naughty Design. The strappy black heels are also made by Elika Tiramisu at ETD.
Not so long ago I found the Route 66 outfit fom Luminosity by Sol Columbia… How could I have ever done without this? It’s sturdy and playful… this version also very sexy (it also has a long shirt version and a pair of well cut jeans) and it has brought me in touch with my inner Daisy Duke. I like to wear it with the inncocent looking Sunkissed Thaw skin from Gala, and the Willis hairdo from ETD just to make it not too provocative. Funny detail: included in the outfit is a litle prim straw to chew on. The boots are LB Design’s (see my previous post about them).
One of my absolute favourites in formal wear is the über sexy Secrets II by Blaze Columbia. With it’s dangerously deep cut back and dito front and the suberb 2 point attached prim skirt you’ll be destined to provoke some serious oh’s and ah’s. I would have bought all splendid colours, just to have them and look at them, but personally I’m not such a fan of fatpacks. I like to wear different gowns for different occasions, not just a different colour of the same gown. But Blaze is amazing with colours and manages to make them look so deep and luscious that a girls just gets very greedy by looking at his creations. In this picture I wear it with ETD’s Elegant hairdo. The skin is my trusted Gala, sunkissed Cherry Bomb and the jewelry is born from the very succesful co-operation of Nonna Hedges and King of Bling Dexter Bachman. King of Bling indeed because next to the wonderful designs Dexter makes, for me he’s also the only jeweler that manages to put a truly decent bling in his designs. A slight sparkle instead of a bling explosion. Whenever I wear an item Dexter has made I never feel overdressed, not even with this grand Firebird set.

hi Grazia, can I suggest you adjust your lighting for the pics, its a little dark (you can also lighten them using photoshop).

adding to what Kalia said, it helps to face E or W and then set the sun to either sunrise or sunset. You can also do that control the sun in mouselook thing but it’s usually just faster to use sunrise/sunset.
