Santa’s Naughty Helpers

I’ve added a new category for posts “Holiday” which collect together all of the Holiday themed items which are posted here on Second Style Fashionista. I’ve gone back and retagged a several prior posts. Why I didn’t think of it sooner I can’t explain. But I hope it helps you find something you’ll enjoy wearing this festive Yule season.
This was the outfit that inspired me to head over to Solange for a long overdue shopping spree. Since I bought the original version of this outfit, Solange has added 7 more colors for a total of 8 available now, packaged up in a FATPACK as Santa’s Lil’ Hotties. Design points that I totally loved were the included boots with thigh buckles and the flexiprim hat with a ton of flexi-fluff. When I wore this to a party a few nights ago, I had so many positive comments and IMs from other guests that I felt like the outfit had already paid for itself in sheer smiles. (S: Yes, R: No, F: No)
This is the name sake outfit for this post — another design by Nyla Cheeky (store LM is in her picks) photographed at the amazing NBC Christmas Tree build. I forsee many holiday photos being taken there. Nyla’s design incorporates a system skirt and a really gorgeously tailored corset top. The lace up back is one of the nicest parts about this set and I love the sequin fabric. Nyla made a prim belt to go with this outfit which helps hide the infamous LL “skirt gap.” Another nice touch is the faux fur lining on the top of the corset — the shading there gives the illusion of depth and 3dness although it’s just a flat texture.
