Peanut

Snapshot_005.jpgpeanut.jpgIf you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you probably know the love affair I’ve been having with Tami McCoy’s short hair designs. In Second Style #2, I had the chance to interview Elika Tiramisu and she told me that creating short hair designs that look good is a lot more difficult than making longer styles look good. With shorter hair, Elika explained, you have less prims to cover the same amount of baldness and there’s only so many ways to torture a torus into a short shape that looks fantastic.

I don’t know how or why, but somehow Tami McCoy seems have a special well of short hair inspiration which is full of refreshing cool drafts of innovation. Peanut is the latest release from Tams and it’s a keeper. When she sent me a preview copy last week my initial reaction was pretty much “OMG, how do you do this??” I still don’t have a good answer to share but I do know this is a superb looking hair. Since Tami “glammed it up” in her ad texture, I decided to dress Peanut down — down and dirty. I put on my coolest biker boots (Enigma by Fatal Raine), a pair of biker jeans (on the underwear layer) by Janie Marlowe, and this cute grungi-goth hoodie by Rosemary Galbraith. Makes the overall style a little edgier, but it’s still super cute. When you have a hair that can go from motorcycle boots to satin pumps with verve, you know it’s a winner.

Sizing note: Tami’s hairs tend to run a little bigger (her head size is about 60-65), so you may need to shrink this hair down a bit to get a proper fit if you have a smaller head. (My avatar’s head is a perfect ETD compliant 50. :D )
