Nice, New and Norwegian

In the beautiful Anma sim, I’ve found the new Norwegian designer Neferia Abel at Bryggen Bergen, who has just opened three (!) shops there for her three lines of clothing.
We sat down for a chat and she told me that designing clothes was the reason for her to come to SL in the first place. Her passions are designing and preying for old/antique RL fabrics and convert them to luscious SL textures for her designs. Being RL from Scandinavia she has her shops named after Viking mythological figures.
The first being Embla, after the first woman on earth. At Embla you’ll find the clean designs by Neferia with the gorgeous textures she makes. She showed me one of the original fabrics and what she has done with it to make it SL compatible and I’m impressed. Neferia makes very wearable clothing… hot, not because of the how-far-down-my-cleavage-can-you-look neck(?)lines but because of the slinky contours and the exquisite fabrics. I fell in love with the frilly red Amy dress which is shown in the picture and which I’ve bought right away. Little black numbers I do have… a sophisticated red was missing… until now!
Next we went to Ask, named appropriately after the first man on earth. No gangsta, no pimp here, but great designs of comfortable casuals. Nice shirts, sweaters & pants and again: fantastic textures.
The last of her shops is called Ivalde, after a black elf who lived underground. This shop is Neferia’s personal favourite. There she has her Lolita Goth line which is the most creative one. No dull dark shades however…. Neferia’s Lolita Goth brightens my day with vibrant colours. From there I took a plaid (coat) dress Evianne which I like very much… it looks innocent… with an evil twist though. Other designs include Norwegian folkore elements and the wonderful antique textures on both gowns and more casual items.
On Saturday, December 9th, at 2 PM, Neferia Abel will present her line of clothing at Expression’s Cafe. Not only her current collection, which has been on only for a month now, but also some new designs which are up till now unreleased. Neferia has been so kind to send me a pic of one of those new, to be released, items which I gladly share with you.This event is a full runway show and will be open to the public. The event at the Expression’s Cafe is hosted by owner Kaelin Hailey.

i’m so glad you wrote about neferia, grazia! :) i’m norwegian myself, and a friend of nefs, and i’m very very proud of where she has gotten in such a short amount of time. cant wait to see more, neffers!
