Gorgeous themed gowns at Pixel Dolls

When you teleport into Port Seraphine, the telehub places you right outside of the PixelDolls store. As the sim started to rez, I noticed some new big vendor posters through the beckoning door — and as I wondered in to take a closer look, my eyes widened and I started to smile a big hungry grin. What to my wandering eyes did appear but new gowns from Nephilaine Protagonist.
There are two series: one themed for the four seasons (such as “Autumn” shown left), and the other themed for four elements (such as “Wind” shown right). The seasonal gowns come with a set of color scheme matching wings which highlight the colors in the gown itself. Autumn was my favorite from this collection — done in a truly gorgeous orange-umber with an extremely clever muted orangey-red leaf lace detailing around the V neck collar. These details repeat on the skirt prims which in the case of Autumn imply a subtle hint of leaf physiology, including maple leaf shape, vascular veins and even tiny imperfections in color. Other seasons include Spring (in a soft emerging green), Summer (in a lush verdant green), and Winter (which is an austere ivory-icey blue poem of color and construction.)
The elemental gowns consist of Fire (bold orange-red), Earth (a delicious brown), and Water (a mist of sea-spray green and blues). But my favorite here was Wind, a beautifully constructed weightless, flowing white formal — and just as the seasonal gowns include wings, the elemental gowns include beautiful flowing flexi scarves. The Wind gown is well served by its scarf component, as it trails behind your avatar while walking, you cannot stop yourself from thinking of a refreshing summer breeze, or a falcon wheeling high on a thermal. Other key details which make this dress so stunning include meticulous attention to the lace scalloping around the bust and the gorgeous alpha blending on the skirt prims — going from white to an ethereal pale teal.
