Unisex birds hatched at silent sparrow

By Choice Sliter | October 24, 2006

jackdawad1.jpg jackdawframezealot.jpghyasynth Tirimisu may be coping with all of the insurmountable things that a severe illness can bring, but that illness has not zapped her creativity. Nor has it stolen her energy to bring us great things. In that spirit I was happy to spot two new releases when I visited her site.

The first release is a unisex three-piece set called, jackdaw. My Mac’s built in dictionary tells me that a jackdaw is “a small, gray-headed crow that typically nests in tall buildings and chimneys, noted for its inquisitiveness.” I’d never heard of such a bird before, but it seems remarkably appropriate for this tintable blouse and tails set. I love the way it looks on hyasynth (left) and it looks equally smashing on Mr. Man Factory, Zealot Benmergui (right). Coats with tails were all over the runway for men’s fashion this year, but the look is of course perfection for lovers of Victorian, vamp, or goth styles. It features all of the brocade texturing and details that we have come to expect from a silent sparrow release.

The second release is really almost a companion release named after another lovely bird, the martingale. Once again, the set is unisex. this time featuring a smashing pair of jodhpurs and an irresistible bowler hat. It’s very turn of the 20th Century couture, but doesn’t feel exclusively anachronistic. hyasynth seems to create looks like this with effortless ease. Her web site tells of more good things to come, as well as impending move due to camping on her sim (bleh!). I’m not sure how she does it, but I’m definitely glad she feels good enough to keep at it for now.

Both jacdaw and martingale are available only Ironjaw 141,161,106.
