Update [CT]: Here’s that fabulous chocolate brown silk fabric I wrote about yesterday. Look at the way the highlights fall on the drape of the silk, especially on the back shot. Scrumptuous!
In these photos: skin: Evolution (Smokey Brown) by Nyte Caligari, Nyte ‘n’ Day; hair: Rebelation (sunkissed) by Tami McCoy, Hair by Tami McCoy; choker: rose quartz stone by Fallingwater Cellardoor, Shiny Things; back tattoo: Alchemy 1 by Scarlet Singer, LUSH; gown: Secrets2 (chocolate) by Blaze Columbia, Blaze
It must be obvious at this point that I have kind of an appetite for gowns, especially really stunning confections like Blaze Columbia’s redesigned Secrets 2. He’s kept all of the best features from the original design and updated the texture and prim work to make this a thoroughly jaw dropping formal affair. Secrets2 consists of nine pieces, including two prim skirting options: one “normal” and one “wide”, and two coverage options: dare to bare and a teeny bit more modest with a semi-sheer fanny panel.
When I stopped by Triumph last night to get a copy, I noticed — with a little dismay — that Blaze hadn’t created a chocolate brown version of the updated Secrets design. When I IMed to ask Blaze “Where’s the chocolate?” he responded with a smile that he thought that 9 colors was more than enough. OK, it probably is! Fair point. But about 15 minutes later — to my intense surprise and delight, he dropped me copy of the chocolate brown dress. Blaze — don’t you know already: there’s always room for chocolate!! :D To be truthful, the brown was my first color choice and the reason I don’t have a picture modelling it is because the grid was rather inconveniently down. Anyway — if you want Blaze to make a public release of the chocolate brown (see Entwine in chocolate to get an idea of this superb fabric texture), make sure you send him an IM! Otherwise, you’ll have to make do with Lady Luck aligning the stars — Blaze mentioned he might use it as a limited edition prize.
Since Blaze also hasn’t been shy about using Starley Thereians’s beta skins (projected release date: Winter 2006) in his posters, I asked him to put on one so I could get a good close (but still very PG-sim OK) alt-zoomish inspection of the details. It looks like there’s been a lot of updates on the highlights around the breasts and the nose, and the bone definition — both shadows and highlighting is looking extraordinary. The area around the small of the throat and the collarbones are just eye poppingly realistic. What really really knocked me for a loop was the detailing around the knees, front and back. The shading of the kneecap and the ligament joints on the back of the knees were sooo amazing. I can’t even imagine how many hours of staring at a set of knee photos it must’ve taken to render the details with such exacting and precise care.

Man that shade of brown is dead on perfect for an evening gown. It’s so sultry. Loved it on Entwine and love it equally on Secrets.
