More rewards of being updated

Maybe it’s Halloween approaching, or perhaps it’s my inner goth coming out to play, but once again I have been seduced by an item on the Material Squirrel blog and I have to bring your attention to it. Kala Bijoux doesn’t give these wings a name in her post, but would call them Forest Fronds. I admit to never having worn wings in SL, and never thought of myself as a wing person, but I have admired many of the wing releases from Kala over the past two months, and when I saw these I was compelled to write about them. The twiggy bones and the whispy, thread-like feathers on these wings are so special. I love it any time a designer makes me see something in a new way, and I’ve definitely never envisioned wings in this form. (I’m so attracted to these and some other wings I’ve been seeing, I may just make it the subject of this week’s review article.)

[...] The wings that I nicknamed Forest Fronds are not the only pretty wings that Kala Bijoux introduced on the forums this week. Another fiery set, called Storm, also caught my eye. Now many may consider wings to be a body part and not an accessory, but for me they are like shoes or a handbag. The right set with the right outfits makes a huge impact. What I love about this pair is their fiery shape and translucency. The colored versions are are beautiful, especially the teal.
